“I don't see the problem. The child is given a form to take home and IF his/hers parents sign the form, only then is the bible given to the child. Free bible. It isn't pushed on anyone who doesn't want it. If you don't want your kid to have one, don't sign the form, why is that so hard???”

“It should not be happening in the PUBLIC school system. I don't care about the private system, most private schools are faith based and that is fine. Religion and anything associated with it does not belong in the public system.”

“While I agree with most of what you say, I do think dads groom their daughters to value beauty just as much as their mothers or other women, they are just more subtle.”

Edcorey on Sep 14, 2012 at 07:55:23

“Sure, everyone is groomed to value beauty in one form or another, however most fathers are not pushing their daughters to be the JonBenet Ramseys and Honey Boo Boo's of the world. That falls in the laps of mom.”

“I think the message that is really being sent to girls is that no matter what your interests are or what you are good at, looks trump that. Female scientists should spend just as much time on their looks, because that's a more important accomplishment, which is a really sad message.”

“OMG you are self centered. The world doesn't revolve around you. Why should people go out of their way to make you more comfortable or happy? What gives you more of a right then someone else?”

gloriaswanson43 on Aug 8, 2012 at 08:02:05

“It's called teaching your kids manners and keeping them under control when in public. If your kids act up, you leave the store. Besides, this was Home Depot. I can't think of a more boring place for kids to be.”

annigirl on Aug 7, 2012 at 16:44:15

“So, you are the kind of parent that thinks it is their kids 'right' to scream throughout a store? Why in the world would you think YOUR Fknkid is so special. I was sitting in a luncheon restaurant watching a family of four let a kid hang off the table on a child-seat and had him eat off the table! Eat off the TABLE! They didn't have enough respect for their child as to let him eat without a plate, napkin or something for his good. The same clothes that wipe that table wipe seats, including the bottom of the high-chair. Then they let their darling brat throw food all over the floor and smash crackers. You should have seen the two waitresses walking up to that mess! So, I guess gofkk yourself.”

“But the difference in the dolls were the clothes. Someone has obviously taught these girls that a girl with revealing clothes is prettier then a girl in trendy but covered up clothes. It has nothing to do with natural beauty or appeal, but strictly aesthetics.”

Duddly Dooright on Jul 18, 2012 at 18:38:29

“Aesthetics regarding being slender and sleek - which is why female pants generally don't have pockets and bulges in them, and the G-string is popular - no under garment lines. I am skeptical of the objective conclusions of this "study".”

“Babies die in cribs too, is that a risk worth taking?”

LTantawi on Jul 18, 2012 at 11:30:38

“Based on data gathered by Child Death Review Boards across the country, most babies who die suddenly and unexpectedly are in unsafe sleeping conditions. They are either bed sharing, sleeping in a crib with a lot of blankets and other sift stuff, or alone in an adult bed, or on a chair or sofa. They are not in a crib, by themselves and on their backs. Some infants do die in their cribs, with no risk factors present, but this is rare. These are facts, not an opinion.”
