Alec Baldwin: I'm Quitting Acting In 2012
Commented Dec 01, 2009 at 08:59:29 in Entertainment
“Best wishes always Alec.
I posted a response, or rather tried to post a response, to your "status quo-repub" post. I was censored. C'est la vie.
It was either my analysis of "The Time Machine" in relationship to the treatment of the American people in today's market place or my expressed opinion of republicans. ;)
Honesty and bluntness isn't always appreciated. Shucks, darn and too bad. ;) I'll try again. Though I'm sure you have already gotten the basic idea.
You can be proud of your life thus far. You've done well. You have always put yourself behind your words everything you do: the fathers you have helped through your book, your politics, the animals you champion, and the charities you support. God bless and love always.”

“This is so true. If the Progressive base had shown up like they did last year. There might not be another Republican Governor elected but since both of the Dem's candidates were either in ethics violations trouble or was not a good candidate, the Republicans won easily. They should not gloat about this because the Dems picked up wins to maintain their majority....how about district 23 in New York.....First time that district was won by a Democrat since the Civil War......nuff said”

“Not to worry. No one is losing their seat for SUPPORTING health care. 65% of the real world supports it.”
soisay replied on Nov 22, 2009 at 16:23:27
“Those that OPPOSE health care are notorious for turning out voters: seniors, anti-tax (teabaggers), fundamentalists. Although it is against their interests, these groups are also notorious for being led by corporate misinformation, filling out astroturf events, and raising righteous anger. 2010 and 2012 will require both an organized voter registration and a GOTV drive to match the one done for Obama in 2008. Just look to the runoffs in 2008 and local 2009 elections when disinterested progressives just stay home.”

It does seem to make a small difference here in Jersey. Corzine lost the election in great part I believe due to his Goldman Sachs background. We've had enough. The glitch here though, is NJ elected an old bush croney. Either way we seem to be FUA.
We do ofcourse have to keep fighting. I'm mad as hell but I'll keep sending the letters, the emails, the faxes and making the phone calls.
I'm going to make sure to campaign against the representative here that voted against health care.”
