“that pot of coffee is dehydrating you, washing vital minerals and vitamins from your body, that's why you feel so tired. take a half a mutivitamin with breaksfast and then take the other half for lunch, it will wake you up better than coffee, keep you alert and stop your headaches. if you must drink coffee, only have as much to fit in a small tea cup.
“i hope the rest of your days Cacey are tainted by the memory of children who die viciously everyday.
Cacey on Dec 25, 2012 at 06:32:37
“All of our days should be until we do something to substantially slow this down as we have in terms of drunk driving, tobacco caused deaths, and deaths of young women in back alley abortions. The point is we can and will do something about guns killing our kids.”
“Instead of gun control, we need hate control. There is more negativity reported on the news. More hate words thrown at each other even about our President. Hate is what caused this crime and all crimes. If everyone love one another as one would love yourself, your mother, your father, your child, your friend, your pet, there would be no need for guns. People need to make sure that the words that leave your mouths are always to love and support. Don't wait for tragedy to happen to put all things aside and offer love support and encouragement to your neighborhood. It should be done always.”

“The reason why there are few memorable lines these days is because there are FEW original movies that play to a wide audience. Most movies are either a book adaptation, prequel, sequel, trilogy. If there is an original movie it's badly casted or does not have a plot worth sitting through.
“It's scary to read about so many suicides in occurring recently in the gay community. I do believe in the teachings of Jesus. I believe in in message of loving eachother as your own family member even those who hate you. Those who spread hate even one who claim to be w/e religion are wolves in sheeps' clothing. Those who are risk for whatever reason do not understand how loved they are. Suicide does not fix anything and I feel one does not love themeself enough to not allow hate to prevail. I was bullied in an all white Catholic s school for being poor and black. I knew that Jesus loved me enough to die and rise again. That has helped me deal with the ills of life. It doesn't just get better...every day you wake up, you prevail.”
“It doesn't bother me that people from Ghana are not starred in current hollywood movies. Ghana has their own actors and musicians. Many of whom happen to be popular in European countries. Ghana holds their own awards show. They don't need acceptance from American entertainment to validate their worth. That's the difference from waiting for an opportunity to open for you or making something of yourself. When my parents came here that had NOTHING. My mother was able to get an associates degree and start her own daycare business. Mind you, her first job here was KFC sweeping floors while blacks made fun of her b/c she was from Africa. My other has a Master's Degree and is now a Family Counselor. Me and all of my siblings graduated from college and made a career for ourself. I was the only brown skinned girl in my Art Dept. My own roommate in college whom was black would call me racist names for being african. So whether someone is white, black, latino, chinese, I still had friends of diff races while knowing there are people within those races who are bigots. I don't need any race to validate my browness. So regardless of persons race or ethnicity who i date, it's because i can see past the surface.
p,s. I will no longer be reapplying your ignorant post.”

“I bet their family won't! Go buy yourself a snow white doll and pray to white jesus. In fact, why don't you go to London, I'm sure they would welcome your type there. Thanks kizzy for not responding to any more of my post.
O I see Blacks made fun of "her" because she was from Africa, Looks like you made my point for me. They did that because of people like you who come here and think you are " ALL THAT" they are not! Maybe if you would take the time to teach them about the GREAT BEAUTY OF AFRICA( AKABULAND) INSTED OF TRYING TO ASSIMILATE WITH WHITE FOLKS THEY WOULD NOT RESPOND LIKE THAT! Thank you for letting the readers know your true motivation!
Finally, for you, racism does not exist! White folks love you! So don't worry be happy!”
“I think you are insecure about race in general. You say it like every black man or every brown skinned man in america is married to a white woman like it's some kind of epidemic. what does anyone's interracial dating/marriage have to do you with you "meanlady21" personally? are they taking away from your bills. How bout you start a black women polygamist group and you marry all the black men in america so that they can feel secure again about themselves?”
meanlady21 on Dec 28, 2011 at 00:13:55
“wasn't talking to you. and you must be a REFRIGERATOR.”
“i dunno what part of town you grew up in but, my parents are from west africa and I have relatives who do wear their natural and are married to white men here in america. they don't look like models. they were be considered plus size. a lot of people don't care about race relations when dating anymore. those who do, such as yourself, seem to have some kind of anger. when two human beings are falling in love, that transcends all difference and you then see why that person is your SOUL mate. Not your RACE mate.”
melaninroyalty on Dec 27, 2011 at 23:02:33
“In conclusion, I see those lilly white missionaries who brought those people in Africa who had no religion, education, history or culture, did a fine job on your psyche.
Tell me how many good movies you have watched starring people from your homeland in America? Love who you want! Then go down south and attend church in one of those good ole southern "whyte" churches. Say to them, I'm here because you don't see color! O yeah did you like those movies in which the great stars rescue the lovely white woman from those savages in Africa.
Go back to dreamland and tell everyone that racism is dead. America has a Black President and everyone there holds hands and sing CUM BY YA! MOGABOGABOO!”
melaninroyalty on Dec 27, 2011 at 23:02:23
“You are right, a lot of people do not care, but there are even more that do! IN FACT, why don't you go back to Ghana and look around. What to you think the first great President of Ghana after COLONIALISM would think about your willingness to forget so quickly! I LOVE MY PEOPLE! And I realize that trying to assimilate before we learn to appreciate who we are is FOOLISHNESS!
Why don't try this little experiment: Ask 10 Black people to tell you where their ancestors come from... Then ask 10 white people the same question. I am willing to bet you that the 10 white people can tell you the country in which their people hail. The Black person will start by telling you first "I GOT SOME INDIAN IN ME, AND MY PEOPLE FROM CHICAGO, DETROIT, GEORGIA.ETC.
Black people are very spiritual and idealistic. you believe that once 1 person of a different race loves you everyone from that race will love you. And sadly, you will curse a person of your same race out to make sure that those people see your loyalty! Just do this, Miss west AFRICA, LOOK AROUND THE COUNTRY OF YOUR PARENTS. Look at what the remnants of colonialism has done. "i dunno" but I am willing to bet you don't think there is a problem there.”
“i'm catholic and i don't hate anyone. I'm straight and I accompanied my friend to gay prom. I had an athiest roomate in college. she respected that I had my jesus pictures up, I told her i pray for her and we were best friends. I have lots of friends from all kinds of religions. If someone wants to hate someone, they don't need religion to reinforce it. they just want to contrive info to validate hate that already existed in them. there are LOTS of people who are religious that don't go around telling people they are damned for w/e it is. so please watch what you say and don't lump everyone who attends a church service as a hate monger.”
navin1 on Dec 27, 2011 at 15:53:43
“I am glad your moral compass is more in line with mine than the cardinal. You are not frankly defending the cardinal, I note and appreciate. I don't clump all persons of any group as the same. There were good Nazis and bad Nazis. But the ideology of Nazism was, in my look at history, a bad ideology. I defend that opinion by looking at the history of those that defended it. Likewise, the cardinal is using his religious power, to represent the church, to manipulate government, to prevent the freedom of expression by the LGBT community, by using false analogies comparing the LGBT with the KKK. I hope you realize that that is the face of hate. And to the extent that he speaks for the church and you do not, his actions reflect the church's ideology.

“i don't think aliens look at us for all the materialistic things. maybe what we have that they don't is feelings. emotions. what sadness feels like. what empathy is. what it feels like to be in love. experience heartache, fear, and to hate and be hated. to laugh, cry, and scream. to give one's life, save a life, and take a life. those are things that make us human. emotions do not exist in space. it's not something you can bottle up or give a math equation to. in that sense, we are far more advanced than than any alien ship.”
sameasoldboss on Dec 13, 2011 at 21:07:54
“We certainly can fool the aliens into thinking emotions don't exist. How else can you explain a billion people living in poverty and tens of thousands of kids dying every day from starvation. The only emotions I see are greedy and selfishness. To claim to be more advanced than civilizations who are at peace enough to develop space travel is beyond sane.”
LillyBlue on Dec 13, 2011 at 19:50:59
“I have it on good authority that other entities, so to speak, do have the same feelings. As far as an equation, we along with the universe are part of that equation. Now, imagine that all are working for existence....hand in hand. As far as "an alien ship", I believe in that aspect they are far more advanced. In and out...and no one sees them! Just like we want to study the universe, don't you think they want to see what we're doing? I believe we learn from each other.....just a thought.”
“Alex I really enjoyed your story. One of the things you said is that you really don't know if there is a God, and you want to believe. God speaks to us many different ways and while we will never fully grasp why He does certain things, one thing you can be sure of is that He loves you. It's hard for humans to grasp, but the love of God is unconditional. God sees and hears all things. The very fact that you've posted this honest account, and you have strangers replying to you, shows that God is listening. One thing one must understand, is that God always does what is good for us. There are things I used to pray for, and I'm glad that God never allowed what I wanted. What he wants for me in my life, makes me happy. Take it one day at a time, continue to pray, just talking to God as if he's one of us. He's always waiting to hear from you. Nothing is too silly or unimportant to talk to God about.”

“I'm Catholic and I was thinking the EXACT same thing. I went to highschool with a lot of guys who played for pennstate during 2001-2005. A lot of people at two catholic churches I attend have family members relatives that also go to Pennstate. The correlation is very eerie and sickening.”
“When I first read the what the sanctions were against the football program, I thought they were fair. Then when heard the uproar that it was not fair, and the players are being punished I thought to myself, where is the same uproar for the schools across America, who do have their sports, arts, and music programs stripped? schools closed down, teachers laid off, buses cease to run, and kindergartens removed, because the state did not have enough money. Those kids are just starting out and won't have the proper curriculum on their highschool transcripts to even apply for a proper education such as the the players who will attend PennState. While their wins from 1998 and 2011 are taken away, they are still able to obtain a college education.”

“In the same vein, I continue to ask where is this same outrage and uproar toward the Catholic Church? Why is one Sandusky so much more important?”
“Maybe its' harder for white women to be considered attractive and funny. There are LOTS of black female comedians that have been funny for years. But given hollywood's history, they are not going to allow them be in the fore front. When was the last time a black women was a permanent cast member besides Maya Rudolph on SNL? The show Comic View that ran on BET had some of the funniest black women I've ever seen on television. Hello....the Queens of Comedy? Or what about the show Girlfriends. Look at the black women that were part of In Living Color and Madtv. The examples are endless.”
“This was a really article. Being a 29 year old myself, I'm always surprised when I hear men and women dreading turning 30. They wish they could be 21 or 16. I think as some people get older they lose a sense of youthfulness in personality. For example, they stop exploring. They are afraid of things are different than what they are used to. They lose some kind of creativity and imagination.”

“Wait another 15-20 yrs and get exposed to annoying human animal and it's the same self-absorbed people over and over again and we'll see how you feel. You haven't been in adulthood that long not even 2 decades, you'll change your outlook.”
“I'm 28. I grew up listening to Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, king's college choir, also Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra to Diana Ross, Rufus, James Taylor, radiohead, and many others. I still always search for new music. I think the reason why the Media do not cater to older adults ESP with music is because they are not constantly listening to and discussing music at a high rate that younger adults are. Music shapes almost everything that younger people do. We tweet, blog, Facebook new music all the time so the new info travels at quicker rate. Alot of older adults just do not have that as a part of their current lifestyle and that's okay. However I do feel that there should be more movies and TV shows that target older adults. About their current life happenings. It's discerning when the media make older adults seem dull, too strict, or upset because they are getting older. My parents are still very interested in the world around them.”

“from reading the messages in the article and the responses below, tyler perry's movies are accurate. What black men has kim kidnapped from the black race and exploited. ray J?? reggie bush? Why do black people always feel the need to be THE BLACKS OF AMERICA HAVE SPOKEN AND ALL OTHER BLACKS MUST DO AS US BLACKS SAY?
You would think Kim was going around call blacks the N-word and in and out of jail like lindsey lohan. If you don't like her, who cares. She hasn't done anything illegal. She's not lynching anybody.
Do i need to put a disclaimer of what race I am to validate my comments?”
