“Everyone has an opinion. If the US was going to 'fall for it" they could have accomplished that during anyone of the five years this soldier was held captive but that didn't happen. When it came down to the life and death situation of this POW the US stepped in to live up to our code of ethics. We leave no one behind! Something to think about.”
“What condition was this soldier in when he allegedly walked off in the middle of the night? How would you know the answer to this question? You don't. War is hell. Some soldiers suffer in different ways than others. Has anyone considered that before they judged him a deserter? Who really knows?!!”
“This is an unfortunate situation in Arizona, part due to administrators of the hospital there, and part due to lack of funds for more professional staff and facility space needed to see patients. Inadequate funding and government bureacracy is at fault for the most part, yet our Congress ignored the VA's needs a number of times in recent years as they played political games on the Hill. Considering these factors I don't see any point in the General stepping down but I do see a need for Congress to step up to the plate with funding and oversight for Veteran's hospitals. I don't doubt there are delays in patient appointments in other VA facilities but most likely not as extreme as in Arizona. When you don't have enough professionals and enough space to meet the demands of the large numbers of veterans who need care then you must up the budget to provide the services to meet the demand. As for McCain, Arizona is the state he represents so he should share part of the blame for overlooking the needs of Veterans in his home state instead of pushing the blame off on the administration.”

“Lack of staff has nothing to do with allowing devious, inhumane practices to take place for purposes of bonuses or to make the department look good. I agree that Congress has been horrible about appropriations for the VA.”

“Well said. And yet the GOP Senators who are complaining voted not to allow a vote on the VA funding bill in February.”

“There is no lack of funds. There is lack of leadership. How can you keep harping on lack of funds when they pay their higher echelon bonus money for nothing? Poor management, poor supervision and a complete lack of responsibility on the part of the supposed administrators. I live 140 miles from the nearest VA in Wichita, Kansas. My appointments will be for 7 am while someone living in Wichita will be for 3 pm. When I asked why I was told to write my Congressman. The lump doing the talking inferred to shut up and leave it alone or the next appointment would be non existent.”

“Going from funding of 99 billion to 138 billion in 5 years is not ignoring the issue is ti?”
“Just think, if any of this is true, the US is supplying the equipment and funds somewhere in the amount of $10 million a day to Israel so that our 'ally' can spy on us! So if it is true, cut off the funding and supplies to Israel as we should to any other 'ally' that is caught threatening our security!”
“Mr. President, Do not allow Boggs to get away with this. It's not okay that he withheld information from his original paperwork and that's enough to oust him. The deal shouldn't stand. Do not allow it! If he is appointed, this will be on your head.”
“If you disagree with Reid, I'm with you. Meanwhile, without earmarks that most Republicans demand but are no longer available may have played a big part of why we have a do-nothing Congress. So, perhaps we need all new blood on the hill made up of those who are not yet spoiled by the old ways of getting things done!
Just for the record, I usually agree with Harry Reid, but not on this matter.”
“This is some frustrated media hungry communications officer's idea! What makes Prince County Police Department think arresting Johns and prostitutes makes them look like heroes? Most people think the cops should be after the bad guys who commit violent crimes or break into private homes, or rob banks or convenience stores using guns to threaten people. This is junk law enforcement almost as bad as putting kids in jail for truancy!”
“While the President may have made a politically correct decision to delay this dangerous pipeline it was the right move for the sake of the American people. If you note, the two states that are rallying for it are Alaska and Louisiana, two states so far away from each other but each totally tied to the oil business. Greed always prevails over what's good for our country. Rove and his cronies are big investors in TranCanada so no surprise he would push for this Keystone X project despite the fact it is harmful to our land, our environment, and to the health of our people.”
“I disagree...This was no accident. When a guy who is a wanna be cop walks around his neighborhood at night carrying a loaded gun it's a red flag waving his plans to use it one day!
That day came and an innocent unarmed teenager was killed.
This never should have happened and it would not have happened except for the fact that Zimmerman carried a loaded gun while walking around his neighborhood. And he didn't follow procedure as law enforcement calls for.”
“I don't know where you got all this background info on Zimmerman...wouldn't surprise me if it is all true,,,but, you need a reliable source to show these are true facts...Can you provide that? I hope you can.”

“In a newly released interview with the Sanford Police Department, a female cousin of George Zimmerman claimed he sexual molested her over a period of 10 years.
In the almost 30-minute interview taken in March with the woman, who was dubbed “witness 9” throughout court proceedings, she detailed five specific instances where she claimed Zimmerman touched her inappropriately throughout the years.
The instances would occur when their families were together, she said, and began when she was 6-years-old and he was 8. The woman told police she and her sister were sent to stay with the Zimmermans while her parents moved from Louisiana to Florida
The Orange County Clerk of Courts website shows a man named George Zimmerman, 28, was charged in July 2005 with resisting arrest with violence and battery on an officer. The charges appear to have been dropped.
“Do a simple Google search. It was being reported all over the news when the trial began.
But somehow many people wants to paint the kid as a violent criminal because he smoked pot.”

“The cousin he molested was witness number #9. You can find her statement and police recorded interview online because with Florida's Sunshine Laws, the media and the public can have access to it. Everything that was stated by the previous poster is true. GZ is a sick person.”
“Wasting more time and getting paid for it!!! Wasting our money that could be feeding hungry children!! Stop the threats! We are sick of the way your party keeps us from moving on!
Really, I think it's time for recall petitions to begin! Get these so-called reps of the people the heck out of Washington!!!”
“At the same time it forces the closure of most clinics in Texas that safely perform legal abortions....It cuts off the access to most women and increases the cost of operating a health clinic for women....
The 20 weeks ban is just a small part of this screw the health of women bill!”
