Medical Marijuana Patient At Cedars-Sinai Denied Kidney Transplant

“Well this is the first time that something has caused me to re-think being an organ donor as I have specified in both my health care directive, driver's license and will. Have been a life-long supporter of natural remedies versus pharmaceutical chemicals - I have and still do use medical cannabis on occasion when necessary. Would this mean that they would not want or use my healthy organs if any cannabinoids were detected in my body? What a waste that would be..........when donor organs are in such short supply with demand exceeding available organs. Will need to check in my state which legalized medical cannabis many years ago. Wouldn't want my family to waste time and emotion for a process that is needed but not wanted.”

“No. The no smoking rule is for recipients, not donors. What is OK for you is not OK for a recipient.”

“We can thank China for these "chemicals" that are sprayed on plant material to make Americans whacked out. Calling them "incense" - "bathsalts", etc. which have no reality to those names. They are constantly changing/adding chemical formulations to feed to the ignorant that believe they might be substitutes for the "relatively" less harmless (in comparison) drugs such as cannabis and cocaine. Why can't the US stop the importation of this crap from China? They get to send us this junk in addition to all the other junk we get.”

Soy Formula Safe For Babies, But Breastfeeding Still Best: Study

“Thirty six years ago my baby boy was put on soy formula after experiencing runny bowels from regular formula. Remained on it through infancy. At age 18 yrs after going away to college he told me he had developed "man-boobs" that were highly embarrassing for him. He was tall and slender but muscular and played football. He felt strongly enough about it that he begged for surgery and found a doctor on his own. He worked all summer to pay for the surgery. He blames me for the soy formula giving him female hormones that led to his moobs. Back then we didn't even know about soy in other foods except soy sauce.”
