Adam Lambert's GMA Performance CANCELED: Good Morning America Calls Off Morning Concert
Commented Nov 24, 2009 at 12:38:30 in Entertainment
“There is nothing "liberal" about being the most shamelessly capitalist musician possible.
Music such as Adam Lambert, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, etc- purely by its horrific economic model- is right wing. It is music created by executives in a boardroom and by pollsters in focus groups where the bottom line trumps every single aesthetic decision.
That is not just right wing, it is right wing extremism. If there's a right wing loser here, it's Adam Lambert.”

And if you don't want to be a part of the program, you don't have to be. That's why it's called a public OPTION. It's an... option. So, what are you worried about?”

“There are plenty of fantastic government run programs: Medicare, Social Security, the National Parks, our fire departments, our departments of water and power, our military, etc, etc.
Or are you an anti-military Republican? (Why do you hate our troops?)
It's ridiculous to say that because something is government run that it will be a failure. The United States of America has produced more than a few successes. Knee-jerk anti-government positions help no one. It's just anti-intellectualism.”

Bill Clinton Blasts Olbermann For Politicizing Health Care Event, Refuses To Go
Commented Nov 21, 2009 at 06:25:03 in Politics
“Yet another misleading HuffPost headline. Clinton didn't "blast" Olbermann for politicizing the event. Olbermann is perfectly within decorum to present it however he likes.
Clinton simply said that because it was a political event it wouldn't be appropriate for him to be there- implying that as a former Democratic president, he wouldn't want to give the impression of an endorsement in what may turn into a Democratic Primary.
He wasn't "blasting" Olbermann. He was upholding the tradition of former Presidents.”

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" Takes On Michael Richards Fiasco (VIDEO)
Commented Nov 16, 2009 at 14:40:00 in Comedy
“That's not how I ever read it. That evening, there were unrelenting hecklers who simply hurt Michael Richard's feelings. Plain and simple; his feeling were hurt. And his response was to say that "how would you like it if I said really mean things to you that would hurt your feelings? How would that make you feel?" Did he do it in a clumsy and (after a cocktail or two) belligerent way? Of course. Nobody denies that, including him. But his comments didn't come from "deep seeded resentment." They came from a poor attempt at showing them how it felt to have something hurtful and mean said to them. His point wasn't that he meant those words. His point was to attempt to show them how it felt to have one's feelings attacked. Inartful? Yes. Wrongheaded? Yes. Racist? No. The guy deserves atonement.”

FBI Watch List Includes 400,000 People

“You miss the point entirely. This is a post about journalism. Not about your paranoia.
Based on the evidence cited in Huffington Post's own article, there are 400,000 people on the list. It asserts that fewer than 5% of that 400,000 are Americans. Narrowing it to 20,000 out of over 300,000,000 people.
Do the math. This means that 99.9993% are foreigners. You can challenge the numbers in your tin foil hat if you like. But that doesn't address the point.
The point is that, given that the evidence in its own reporting is true, Huffington Post's title is written to frighten people and create false hysteria.”
