“I think I am coming to the sad realization that Obama simply doesn't support the public option. If he did he would cajole/threaten/bribe the few senators needed to get this over the threshold of a 60 vote debate closure. It reminds me of the time Bill Clinton and Bob Dole engaged in a "Kabuki dance" to kill a fifty billion dollar stimulus package back in '93.

“After reading this article carefully. A more accurate title would be "Non-profit aided mortgages resulted in one billion in losses for the FHA".
Now one billion of anything is a lot. But if one billion was even ten percent of the losses. The housing crisis wouldn't be a "crisis" at all.
I think this is going to be heralded by the right wing blogoshere. I can see the headline right now.
"Normally liberal Huffpo exposes fraud created by non-profits to help the poor and minorities".
I think this story is more complicated and a whole lot less "explosive" than the title of this story leads you to believe.”
