“I cannot stand Gloria Allred and her demented version of her client's role in all of this. Sure, it's sad that her client got run over by the SUV & sustained serious injuries, but for her to say that her client was trying to difuse the situation is ridiculous. There were bikers intentionally surrounding the SUV, slashing the tires and trying to get the doors open or smash windows, WITH A TODDLER IN THE BACK SEAT! I don't know anyone in their right mind who would not have done the same thing Lien ended up having to do to try to protect his family. Lien was left with no choice, because of the biker's actions.”

“Gloria Allred.......a legal legend in her own mind. Really no better than a hack.”

“At one time, long ago I had respect for Gloria Allred, but now I wonder how much of this is grandstanding on her part to get attention. There was a biker who deliberately slowed down in front of a vehicle, another who intentionally smashed a window. That is not responsible behavior.”
“Sadly, Casey should have made provisions for this type of situation with his attorney if he knew his 2nd wife didn't get along with his children from his first marriage. Apparently his 2nd wife Jean never got along with his children from his 1st marriage, and with the age difference between him and Jean, he should have known he would die first and this might happen. Sorry kids, but the reality is your dad didn't set any provisions in place if his controlling 2nd wife pulled a stunt like this. You may just have to accept that and move on. It sounds like Jean wore the pants in this marriage and whatever she said, went.”

“Sinead's open letter wasn't "harsh," it was absolutely accurate. Kudos to Sinead for telling this young woman what Miley's parents should have been telling her. Instead, Miley's parents have been going on national media, claiming how proud they are of her disturbing behavior and endorsing it. I would guess that Miley's parents don't really care though about how their daughter is exploited, since they're the ones that got her into the business at such a young age & no doubt have benefitted financially from her career.”

“I agree with LeftLeanWing, the title of this article doesn't even make sense after you read the actual article. Beyond that, if these allegations are true, that is a very disturbed individual who needs to be locked up for the rest of his life.”
“For her to still be functioning & not in a coma at that BAC, indicates her tolerance for alcohol is extremely high, in other words, an alcoholic. She thinks this is funny now, but it will most likely end up cutting her life short and directly impact whether or not she ever gets a decent job. All any employer has to do is Google her name from now on, & this article will appear. Who wants to hire a drunk? Hopefully she doesn't kill an innocent person in her alcohol-fueled escapades in the future. This young woman needs serious help.”

“Well said -- the scary part is she has 20k followers who support her irresponsible and dangerous lifestyle. Glorification of drunk headed for a train wreak -- great role model for our youth.”
“Yes, what is to be learned is that we shouldn't be dumping chemicals, toxins and poisons on our lawns. Doing so affects the entire food chain, from the worms and insects that live in the lawn, all the way up to the predators who eat up through the food chain, to the humans and pets that walk on it. Wake up people and realize that a chemical free lawn is better than a "perfect" lawn, manicured with these poisons.”

“Yup. Plus, I think there are even potentially worse case scenerios, like toxic waste dumping, fracking, or oil spills or who-knows-what being spilled, sprayed or dumped nearby…”

“Tumors existed in Man long before Agriculture much less Ag Chemicals. I saw a picture the other day of a Neanderthal thigh bone with a very nasty bone tumor.”
“The reality is, you can't help someone who doesn't want help and doesn't recognize they have a problem, which clearly is what is happening here with this young woman. Unless she tries to harm herself or someone else, there is nothing anyone can do. She has turned her back on her family and friends who wanted to help her. This is why she moved from CA to NY, because CA is where her family and friends are and she wanted to get away from them because she didn't want to hear what they were saying. It's a very sad situation.”

“Years ago a friends sister had moved back home at the age of 21 due to problems. She was taking medication and was doing well enough that she decided to move out. Her Mother and brother were not conviced but there was nonthing they could do she was an adult.
Her Mother tried to find her via social services and SSI but she was adult
and if she did not want contact with her family that was her choice.
When they finally did locate her she had been sitting on a bucket in her apartment to relieve herself and all the windows were covered with tin foil.
She was put on life support in the hospital but died after a week.
You are right, you cannot help someone who doesn't want help or does not think they need your help.”
“According to media reports, Amanda has disowned her family, & this was apparently a factor in her moving from CA to NY, to get away from her family who lives in CA. Unfortunately, unless Amanda tries to harm herself or others, there is nothing her parents can do because she is an adult.”
“What a great story. Let's all not forget the pets in Moore, Oklahoma, who may be injured, scared and apart from their owners. If you would like to donate supplies to the shelters there, please go to whatever online pet supply site you prefer, and in the "ship to" section, send the donation directly to the shelters in that area. Some of the shelters in that area you can Google the addresses for are: City of Moore Animal Shelter in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma City Animal Shelter in Oklahoma City, Second Chance Animal Sanctuary in Norman, OK, and the Central Oklahoma Humane Society in Oklahoma City.”
“Reading this story deeply saddens me. This never should have happened. There are many other people we could point fingers at, as well as the parents; such as the judge who let them retain their other children, the probation officer/Child Protective Services for not monitoring this situation more closely for compliance, etc. This poor child had no one to protect him. No one.”

“What about all the politicians, bishops, cardinals, priests, pastors, and the majority of the general public who have told this couple all their lives that belief in supernatural powers is not only to respected, but to be seen as the highest form of human achievement?
What's wrong with people that they say you should follow supernatural beliefs one day, and then say that it's outrageous to follow them the next?”

“Case loads on state service providers have grown increasingly unmanageable over the years. And increasingly underfunded.
We, in this country, demand more fiscal responsibility. And then, when our agencies are underfunded, and situations like this occur, we rail against their incompetency.”
