Much of the cynicism stems from ignorance associated with these disciplines.
I mean, when the masses fail to understand the differences between accuracy and precision, inductive processes and deductive processes, and how these approaches are used on a daily basis (even by six year olds) - the need to educate trumps the need to ram it down their throats.”

“Deir Yassin? You mean the battle in which a few dozen Arab combatants were killed, along with a few Jews? The battles whose casualties everyone involved exaggerated? The Arabs wanted to tarnish the Jews, the Irgun and Lehi wanted to scare the Arabs, and the Haganah wanted to tarnish the Irgun and Lehi? "Deir Yassin" is a buzzword meant to invoke emotions, but a rational look at what actually happened reveals that it was no massacre.”

Religion is nothing more then an ancient superstition held on tightly by conservative ideologues. Until the vast majority of the masses can live within the boundaries of reasonable morality, logic, and science, our societies will continue to suffer from the barbaric actions of ancient uncivilized psychopathic spiritualities. When modern "normal" adults still act on imaginary voices created through prayer (the communication with nonexistent entities), we as a society, have yet a long way to evolve before we can truly call ourselves "civilized ."”
