“Lay off the kool aid for a minute. This prez probably jumps from his shadow. Why fault Lieberman for switching horses in mid stream when our own prez switched banks. As long as you focus own underlings of Obama is happy with that. Can you imagine Bush saying at a speech "you on the right and you on the left."This more than anything showed Obama was not situating himself at part of the left.Don't shoot the messenger.”

Regaining credibility and trust is like a repaired crack in a mirror.Sure you can use the mirror just like always but you never forget about the crack.”

No Difference Between President Obama and Candidate Obama

“Obama,Plouffe and Axelrod is in a bubble now. They have lost contact with the people who voted for them.To allow this process with healthcare go on is torture.Ask any middle class or below progressive about the last 6 months and they will tell you this uncertainty of Obama on the public option really hurts. And if they feel he doesn't care about their "health" don't expect them hear any thing he has to say.I know a lot of democrats now are completely deaf to Obama message now in the belief of being taken for granite.”

“I haven't heard Ed say anything but try to get the 76% who wants a public option to tune in to him.It smart for Big Pharma to have him as the point man.I heard him say last week"every day I am going to have something on health care",why is he the ambassador for healthcare. Some thing don't smell right. He's a front for the network/Big Pharma scam.Only a grass root effort contacting your congressman saying you will not vote for them under any circumstances if they dont support a public option.I dont trust any politician, even Sanders who might just be laying out all the fat to that can be cut trying to prove you dont need a public option. So the question remains,do you want private insurers or the government between you and your doctor...VA and medicare works just fine or leave it to the pirates of the seas, the private. insurers.”

Commented Jul 01, 2009 at 00:06:42 in Politics

“This what I don't understand.Ed Schultz seem to have appointed himself the point man on TV for a public option. But what is missing is he never mention any of this corruption by the insurance industry or the crippling increases in medical insurance premiums. My grandfather use to say "believing everything you see is as bad as seeing everything you believe".I dont think the word single payer has rolled off his lips yet.I have a lil knowledge of military tactics and what I've learned is just because some one is tooting the bugle doesnt mean they are sendings signals only to you...”

kylie replied on Jul 01, 2009 at 02:15:42

“Again, Ed Shultz has constantly talked about "single payer" and "public option".
Millions of viewers, like myself, have heard him mention it often.
There plenty of hosts not to trust on various networks, but he is not one of them.
Try the hosts of the two new shoes on MSNBC or anyone on CNN and FOX.
GOP tools and also for the insurance companies.”

kylie replied on Jul 01, 2009 at 02:03:26

“Ed Shultz has mentioned, "single payer" many, many times on his show. I certainly witnessed it along with millions of other viewers.
The insurance, pharmacuetical companies, and oil companies all are "sponsers" on all the networks--a great way to control positions of each network as to what they allow to go on the airways.
Maybe the network execs are making it difficult for Ed to say all he would like to, but he has been passionate for the past few years(radio and now television) about the necessity for single payer, public option!
It's the new "Docter Nancy Snyderman Show" and others that concern me about just who they are working for. Matthews is still a tool for the GOP.”

Taking a "Stand" on the Black Male Experience

Taking a "Stand" on the Black Male Experience

Commented Apr 29, 2009 at 17:43:54 in Media

“I get your point, but Obama is doing enough just by his visuals,a black man and his family in the White House.Malcolm and Martin was good for what they did in their day,but that wont work today. You need some one who's very inclusive like Obama.I wish the black church and black local politician would take on the black family about education, out of wedlock kids and incarceration.

There is no shame in the black community about teenagers having kids.Even some well off black women and men having kids with no intention of getting married. There is no excuse at all about this circle of poverty.I just don't see many college educated blacks without a job or incarcerated.I think the black family structure has broken down which use to be the envy of the world.

Until the black church leaders in the community and parents see Obama and his family as a role model to strive (education, marriage, excellence, devotion, goal oriented, the past is the past,confidence,self-esteem,)for then Tavis can have all the bus rides in the world but nothing will change...”

Taking a "Stand" on the Black Male Experience

Commented Apr 29, 2009 at 05:15:56 in Media

“When West says Obama is not as charismatic as a Malcolm or Martin etc. it proves he is injecting his bias.Obama drew 200,000 people in Germany. There's no one before or may be in the future that has moved people across this globe like Obama has in the last 2 years. The people in this film is preaching to the choir.Obama is the first black other than Bill Cosby to say "take responsibility".Which you will not here from Tavis and his few good men.At 70% of babies in the black community born out of wedlock and more black men in jail than college, how in God's name could you talk about anything other that.As long as kids are born fatherless you will have their future offsprings will more likely be single parents,no college and on a path of being housed by the government voluntarily(welfare) or involuntarily(prison).”

“obama nor bill cosby were the first to talk about personal responsibility. it was actually elijah muhammad (the nation of islam) that did. if you listen to malcolm x, you will hear him both talk about personal responsibility and racism. he told black folks to stop using drugs, drinking alcohol, eating pork. he told them to stop asking the white man for a job and create your own. he told black men to marry and stop galavanting around with different women. he was unapologetically black.

our president, whom i respect and voted for, has spoken out about personal responsibility. but he has also been too apologetic for america's shortcomings (think of his response to Holder's comments) and he has not gone into urban areas and given the kind of talk that he should give. i know that he is watching what he says becuase he is a black man in america. but he has to do more to take both america and black america to the next level.”
