“Of course this all can be blamed on Bush when he had a Democratic Congress. At what point does this become Obama's fault? Just wondering. Bush is to blame for some of this mess but not all, after all Obama has had 4+ years to figure out what is going on.”

Miguel Martillo on Apr 5, 2013 at 16:21:39

“The answer to your first question and when there are a lot more Democrats and independents in Congress.   Bush has eight years to create the mess and put it all the the USA credit card.   As anyone have a large debt in a credit knows, it is easy to pile in up but hard to pay if off.   The Republicans have a political game plan to have this country continue to be in economic turmoil so they may "appear" to offer a solution and hope to the American people.   Romney took Americans to be stupid and fall for his line of BS, the Republican will repeat that mistake again.  Come the next elections, I'll eat the paper these words are written on if this does not hold true.”

“People who thinks this is a good idea are not looking at the big picture. By closing these small airport towers, the cities are missing out on revenues by losing the jobs. For example - No Tower = 1 or 2 jobs, Car Service = 1 job, Possible Mechincal Repair = 1 job, Go to Meeting Place = Lost Rent$$, Eat a meal = Lost Sales$$, Refuel = 1 Job. So, by closing one tower the local, state, and federal government is losing jobs and tax $$$$$. By focusing on stopping one item, you are actually affecting several others connected to that one item.”

Contempt for President Obama Is Behind the Shutdown

Commented Oct 8, 2013 at 21:58:13 in Politics

“I never mentioned anything about fiscal responsibility. The whole argument is that President Obama lacks the ability to lead. He does not have the ability to bring the people together. The is from the playbook 101. He takes responsibility for the Good Stuff and blames somebody else for the bad stuff. When this crap happen during the Clinton Administration, President Clinton was in the trenches making this happen and he got the deal done. President Obama cannot/will not do that. A real leader puts difference asides and gets the job done. In the end, everybody in Congress is to blame and frankly they all should lose there jobs in 2014.”

However, how jobs are not fulfilled by qualified people - adapt or die. As far as Lena comment, people are leaving because it is becoming to expensive to live in NY - Government taxes. When City/State/Federal take over 50% of your income, you make a choice. Stay or leave. Life is about choices and being aware of your surrounding and paying attention.”

“We should have all environmentalist encourage massive amounts of oil consumption. Oil is a finite resource, if we amp up our production 300 - 400 million barrels a day, the oil will run out. Then will have no choice but to find alternative sources for energy. Thoughts?”

TSGracchus on May 10, 2013 at 13:26:39

“That is ironically an option as long as the right wing keeps succeeding in deluding the populace...though I suppose we'd all be asphyxiated and "warmed to a crisp" by the time we actually ran out. But the fact remains, both polar regions could melt completely, every glacier on earth could disappear, all the major coastal cities end up underwater, global temperatures skyrocket, and species after species go extinct, and these b4stards will still be saying there's no such thing as human-induced global warming. Perhaps Agent Smith in the Matrix said it best:
"Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure."
Yeah, sad to say, but it will probably be only our machines that survive this holocaust, until of course...there's no more power.”

A Meaner (or Nicer) Obama Won't Change a Stubborn GOP

Commented Apr 24, 2013 at 14:48:22 in Politics

“The true test of a good leader is the ability to bring people together and get them onboard to pass your goals/ideas. When you alienate a portion that will help you pass your goals, your goals will not get passed. Obama's biggest issue is that he never spent time in a significant leadership position. Unlike Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Clinton, and even GWB - They were all Govenors. They knew how "work" with the other side to get stuff done. Obama takes the approach "my way" or "the highway" and then blames the other side for getting nothing done. Obama is good person and a great father, he is just not a leader.”
