“While stationed in the UK, my minor children required an escort to return them to me @ RAF Upper Heyford, UK, following the completion of combat activities in support of Operation Desert Storm. It was decided that my Aunt, who is a heart patient (mitral valve replacement), would accompany my children. They arrived in April. In June of that year we decided to seek follow up treatment and prescription refills locally. As her host, I picked up the telephone book, selected a Cardiology practitioner, phone the office and she was given an appointment for two days later (my schedule conflicted with same day appointment). There was no wait to see the doctor, she was examined and we were on our way with a (3) month refill for each prescription(5) in less than 30 minutes. The pharmacy was in walking distance, so we went there and had to pay three pound Sterling (THE ONLY MONEY TENDERED) and were on our way. NEVER TO BE HARASSED ABOUT THIS VISIT OR COST OR CARRIER.
"They" can't tell me the big LIE about rationing of care,long waiting list, or substandard care.
