“Did You read the entire Article ? Whilst I don't like Fox as they are way too Partisan. This above article eventually states that Foxx is leading all the other Media outlets for total viewership. The only issue is that they have lost a slight bit of watchers, however they still lead the others. You can Blame Ronald Reagan's administration for Foxx and MSNBC. Reagan;s administration disabled the "Fairness in Media Doctrine" which stated that All Media outlets had to publish Controversial issues of the day and to give Equal and Opposite views on each subject matter/issue. Several times afterwards the Democrats tried to bring the Fairness Media Doctrine back however, each following Republican administration either killed or blocked it. Just think if we still had the Fairness Doctrine, we would be a much better informed Society and more importantly Smarter and much less Partisan. The Dems should try to bring the Fairness Media Doctrine back, it would do this country a great service and stop all this forever bickering back and forth. "A house divided shall fall"”

Gun Control Bill With Bipartisan Support Unveiled In House

Gun Control Bill With Bipartisan Support Unveiled In House

Commented Feb 5, 2013 at 17:07:55 in Politics

“Does it bother anyone else that this entire article is about nothing more than the fact that there is actually bi-partisan support. There is nothing in this article about the nuts and bolts of the bill, which is what we should be caring about. You know things are bad when news articles around about the legislative process and not the laws themselves....”

bikerfish1100 on Feb 5, 2013 at 17:20:14

“oh, I dunno. maybe the entire bill is not yet in its final form? not yet ready for public viewing? (very likely going to be changes to it, so specifics are not really "there" yet) Given this congress, is it not news that there is a bi-partisan bill being presented for discussion?”

“"aid their legislation would create a single section of federal code to give law enforcement the ability to prosecute gun traffickers. It would also impose up to 20 years in jail for "straw purchasers," or those who buy guns for people prohibited from buying them on their own."”

“no, i'd say that those on the left side of the fence - the real left- not what you see on msnbc- have been pretty reasonable in seeing and predicting the problems our country faces and is likely to face. like the fact that our former president started two wars, didn't pay for them and cut taxes all at the same time. i think someone who'd call themselves a rationalist would reason that this could create some serious problems in the near future. - the reactionary stance of the right wing is what keeps them from ever producing any serious intellectuals, not to mention the total lack of truth or logic in any of their arguments.”

Commented Dec 10, 2012 at 23:39:02 in Politics

“the total lack of logic in these rtw laws is astounding, but it's proponents parroting the same tired rant, a false one at that is even more so. - that unions have too much power, that they wreck the economy, utter b.s. a union is going to support workers whether they are a member or not. if you live in a rtw state and you choose not to pay dues, the union will still fight for your job if it's threatened - but the less money they have to do so, the less power they have. if i could trust that my employer would provide the same benefits - i'd be okay to not be in the union. but the problem is that they can't be trusted. a companies bottom line is profit, they'll do whatever it takes to get it. even if it means laying people off, but a union on the other hand, their bottom line is the worker, and their rights to a decent wage and good benefits. i'm sticking with the union. naysayers, have fun with your right to work for less.”

“if this whole "right to work" thing is really the way to go then why do workers in rtw states bring home less pay? that's a fact - this is the same thing they did in wisconsin w/ collective bargaining. you can't introduce a bill and vote on it in the same day - in a closed session! our government has been hijacked by corporations whose main goal is profit - for themselves - not you! talk all the sh** you want on unions, they're not perfect - but people in unions fought for things like the 8 hour work day, the weekEND, minimum wage and they continue to fight for safe working conditions and better pay for workers - something i don't see any ceo's standing up for. i'd say shame on the gop, but i dont' think any of them know what it is.”

GetAClueLib on Dec 7, 2012 at 00:40:07

“they bring home less pay, but their firms can then be competitive in the market
union workers at times make more than the actual engineers who are much more edcuated & intelligent

no floor sweeper should make $25-$30/hr, but unions fight for that, so they can steal more from the employees

salary/rate should match education, intelligence, skill set

if you want more $$, go to school. heck its almost free for most 47%ers.”
