“He should never had that clear of a shot as well. That part rests not onlt on the 2 blockers whose only job is to block 1 player long enough to keep that exposed returner from those who have no view of the ball and are trained go for the PLAYER. Or this rest on Vandy special teams coach whos job is to design a proper blocking schemes for his player. Lets suspend em all!”

“A year? This is football guys, not a cheerleading contest or some chess game. These things happen like it or not and the penalty recieved was how this goes. Marquel is a true freshman with a huge amount of speed and talent and when your barrelling with 4.2 speed toward an opponent its very hard to stop your momentum and as a football player "laying a lick" is exilerating and if you take the time to look after her prances for that half second he realizes the ball was elswhere. Players are never perfect especially true freshman, but to imply a year suspension for a play that happens in full contact sports regularly is ludicrous. When gets the speed that Arkansas is getting as yongsters, they to will understand that these things happen and I would like to see their reaction then. Its FOOTBALL! Had no implication on final score, and something tells me some Vandy fans are looking for something to hold on to as the reason they couldnt do what it took be walk out as winners.”

“I'm no Vandy fan and if he couldn't see the player waving for a fair catch, being part of special teams, than he should be suspended. Has nothing to do with football or cheerleading, has to do with knowing how to play your position. Anyone on special teams knows not to contact the receiver until he has fielded the ball. If you can't tell the difference, you shouldn't be playing.”
