He was truly voting the needs of his district and maybe a chance at winning the seat again. Without that vote he would have surely been defeated in 2010.

“That is my only point... we should have already been shocked by what the congress does. The sad part is I doubt if she will vote for the Healthcare bill in the end because she feels that it would end her political career. Since I live in LA I email her every week to let her know that that if she does not vote for Healthcare reform I will stay home on election day in 2014.
