White House Hanukkah Blues

Commented Dec 03, 2009 at 14:46:30 in Politics

“It is time for people of the Jewish faith to demand a Secular government in Israel.

It is unfair to the Jewish people to have their entire religion smeared by war mongers and extremists who assume power through a strong armed coalition.

The ruling coalition of Israel are disrespecting our president and country repeatedly

BUT that should not be seen as a reason for a bigger or smaller Chanukah party.

Free Israel, Free Palestine.”

“It is for the most part a secular government.

Here, educate yourself:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Politics_of_Israel

Israelis do not trust Obama. They think he is more pro-Palestinian than pro-Israel. That's the message they took away after Netanyahu’s White House visit in June.

It is up to Obama to correct that view if he wants the respect of Israelis. For many reasons, Israel is America's ally. Obama might want to remember that.”

Right there are a group of skilled writers who can cover politics, sports, crime etc.

Lieberman's Right on Fort Hood

Commented Nov 27, 2009 at 14:06:55 in Politics

“Mr Norm, I dont expect you to be politically savy, but all Joe is doing is fear mongering for political gain.
Even if he were right it would not be for the right reasons.
As committee chairmen he intentionaly white washed the Katrina disaster by killing all inquiries into it.

He is a bad man, and sadly is destroying our credibility with dealing with the Fort Hood massacre in a responsible and productive manner.

All he wants are political points against the administration and to continue his fear mongering of anything muslim.

He had NO problem when a right wing nut murdered three Pittsburgh police in cold blood for his political agenda.

I have the utmost respect for your organization.
They are the epitamy of what makes America so great.
Please withdraw this diary and write about issues pertaining to your great group.

The message you all bring is so profound it should be making headlines.
Especially your fellow officer from Baltimore, MD, my home town.
I heard him on The Young Turks radio show and he was awesome.
Please keep up the good fight.”

Get Ready for the Obama/GOP Alliance

Commented Nov 25, 2009 at 18:50:05 in Politics

“How would that person know anything at all.

Do I think Obama is human enough to be bullied by someone?

I dont know, but if Rahm thought he could challenge Bill Clinton and get away with it, he is just as likely with Obama.

My main problem with Rahm this year is his sheer incompetence.

And if what Rahm did to Greg Craig isnt getting him fired, then the President is incompetent.”

CherokeeGirl replied on Nov 25, 2009 at 20:30:12

“Why couldn't Bill fire him three times? That's pathetic. Something stinks to high heaven with Rahm. I just don't like him being in on everything and influencing our policy! Doesn't seem like Obama is capable of firing anyone, even if they deserve it and it would be better for our country. ARGH.”

Get Ready for the Obama/GOP Alliance

Commented Nov 25, 2009 at 18:22:32 in Politics

“Folks let me be crystal clear with you.

If we can't get Rahm fired from this administration, win or lose on the issues, we will lose the 2010 and 2012 election.

I think that Obama is brilliant, only when it comes to Rahm, you got to ask yourself why?

Rahm failed Clinton, Bill tried to fire him 3 times.
He has done nothing for Obama except split the base and push for lower poll numbers.

Mark my words, Rahm won't stop till he leaves.”

vorpalmusic replied on Nov 25, 2009 at 20:14:05

“What about Geithner, Summers, Gates? Let's be clear, several of his appointments so bad that it makes me suspicious of him.”

CherokeeGirl replied on Nov 25, 2009 at 18:42:05

“George, you are singing my song. If I lived in DC I'd carry a sign on the steps of the capital with Rahm's photo on it, and it would say "Did you elect this man? THROW THE BUM OUT!"

and I would have a petition for people to sign, reams and reams of petition pages.

I want to blame Rahm, but someone pointed out that he doesn't make a move without the pres knowing about it. I wonder if that's true or not.”

we went right back to assuming this huge divide over Obama's policies are purely about race, showing that we've regressed back into that superficial way of thinking.”

D.C. Takes Up Same Day Registration, So Should Congress

Commented Nov 03, 2009 at 13:44:41 in Politics

“Voter Registration should get healthy funding from both the DNC and RNC.

Its a sick thing when one political side is against Americans voting because they think they will lose.

Voter Registration should be the litmus test to keeping on Kaine as our DNC chairment (yes folks, the DNC no matter how hard Rahm tries still exists)”

Obama Online -- What's the Future of Organizing for America (OFA)?

Commented Nov 03, 2009 at 13:05:20 in Technology

“This effort is meaningless as long as Rahm and Kaine run the DNC.

Until Obama divorces himself from a pro lobbyist agenda and anti grass roots philosophy, this will not come to pass.

The OFA will have to deal with ALOT of campaign promises that never came to fruition.

Plus which Obama will we be campaigning for, The fighter on the stump, or the timid triangulator in the white house?

Either run with the Dem agenda or sit and wait and hope that the masses will re-elect you.”

Congress "Getting Completely Crushed" With Over 100,000 Calls For Obama's Healthcare Reform

Commented Oct 20, 2009 at 16:44:17 in Politics

“"Several aides noted with irony that the president doesn't have a specific plan that he has endorsed - to the great frustration, in fact, of many Democrats."

I wont participate for that exact reason, I could only go so far as to guess his position. I did that for a long time, but with Rahm.

What OFA should do to change is drop the President as it's focal point.

The OFA would do well to also tell it's callers to call the white house.”

Cinnamonape replied on Oct 20, 2009 at 18:48:23

There is a reason why we have the lowest resignation rates of all western democracies.

Now, I suggest you take a moment and see what the Dutch parliment did when they appologized for the Serbian masacre in Sbrenica.
All congressmen that were active at the time resigned.

NOONE resigned over torture or lies of WMD.”

“Only one person needs to resign from this administration and it is the one staffer that has dragged the President through the mud and back.

Rahm Emanuel.

Why should anyone else fall on their sword first.

If Biden resigns, then Obama is through.

And as Democrats (and former republicans) can we drop this peace nonsense.

America is perfectly capable of fighting and winning wars, it was George BUSH's hubris that DARED to put boots on the ground, Clinton never did that.

This hawk Democrat is signing off.”
