“Logan and Christopher designs were just terrible. Both should be gone already.
This year's winner is going to be one of the ladies.
Shirin's dress was not that bad, shame she got booted off. She is thoughtful and detail-oriented in her execution.
Logan has no talent that I have seen on the runway.”

More of that lobbying American greed. Our elected officials get their piece of the pie in campaign contributions.”

“Michael Jackson, a talented singer and dancer at a young age, and the Gosselins kids, who are merely an oddity. P.T.Barnum might have exploited these kids in a earlier time.
Michael Jackson's fame was as lasting as his genius.
The Gosselin children are being exploited by the parents, and TLC, and the questionable ethics of reproductive science..
Now It seems as though TLC want to raise ratings using their martial problems and divorce.
This hardly speaks to "doing it for the kids!"
Tasteless, cringe-worthy, and even immoral. Not only do I wish this show to disappear but I predict TLC will also disappear due to loss of revenue.
Americans are dealing with dealing with record unemployment and foreclosures. That's our reality We also are "trying to feed our families." Maybe they could film a family staying together
under those circumstances. That actually might be inspiring.”

King of Pain

Commented Jul 21, 2009 at 07:20:18 in Entertainment

I live with someone who survived a horrific accident. He lost his wife, son, job, his life. After a year of recovery, he was a full-blown addict. He has never dealt with the pyschological pain of the loss of his former life. I continue to stand by him as a friend, though dealing with a addict is the most painful process of all.
The cost of treatment can be prohibitive for most addicts. Addicts don't have savings accounts. My friends addiction has evolved to crack cocaine, the worst addiction of all. I encourage him to grieve for the death of his previous life, hoping he finds the courage to seek help.

I agree with LaToya that MJ was murdered, just as Anna Nicole was. Money can apparently buy you anything, even unethical doctors.
The new street drugs are painkillers; Loritabs, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, vicodine. The FDA approves these drugs, and doctors write prescriptions freely, creating more addicts. It seems any amount of pain is enough to get you an Rx for narcotics.
I hate the street drug dealers in my community, including the doctors without conscience. A prescription for Loritabs @ $27.00 can be sold on the street for $150.00. Narcotics should be a last resort. There are way to treat chronic pain through pain management clinics but the medical community doesn't seem to embrace it. Why? Maybe we could ask the drug companies and their lobbyists in Washington that question.”

Bea Arthur's Perfect Comic Timing

Commented Apr 28, 2009 at 09:26:12 in Entertainment

“A very nice tribute to Bea.
Bea Arthur was the bomb! Grew up watching her as Maude. Her comic timing was dead-on and fearless.

Bea Arthur also was a Honorary PETA director for her work and compassion for animals.

In memory of Bea, people can make a donation to PETA, or Easter Seals, an organization helping children, an organization who do not do animal testing and experimentation.

As the March of Dimes bring out their yearly campaign, visit Marchofcrimes.com and find out why,
and where, your chartiable contributions can be better spent elsewhere.

Animal experiments cost millions of dollars that could be spent on people, experiments that cause suffering to the animals they test on. Animal physiology and people physiology differ and forward thinking organization such as Easter Seals promote birth defect research in a compassionate manner.

Thank you Bea for making us laugh, rest in peace.”

Michelle Obama's Lost Her Mind! 3 Reasons She's Suddenly A Fashion Disaster

Commented Apr 03, 2009 at 09:32:15 in Style

“Michelle Obama clearly has a sense of her own style. This trip was a business trip, and I found her outfits appropriate and stylish. Considering all the silly outfits the Royals suit themselves up in, including the ridiculous pastels and laughable hats, your article is just pointless.
Since when did cardigans and pearls become less than fashionable? I think all the criticisms have more to do with her choosing young designers creating somewhat affordable fashions. I see Michelle Obama likes the high-end Jimmy Choo shoes, and shoes do complete the outfit.
I think it is tasteless to criticize the First lady and her fashions. Michelle Obama is someone other women can relate to because she is down-to-earth, and carries herself with pride. Beauty is on the inside as well as the outside.
Just as Hillary Clinton and her pantsuits are criticised, isn't it time we all grow up and start focusing on the accomplishments of strong intelligent women instead of what they are wearing.
Opinions are like a___holes, everyone has one!”

“Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn Spears, Lindsey Lohan, Miley Cyrus.
It's all about the corporate dollar for Disney. Go to the Disney website and see how much money
they charge for Miley Cyrus gear. All the little girls want this stuff and Disney is stiffing the parents
with ridiculously high prices. Same as as admission to Disney world, a Disney cruise, etc.
If the parents want to whore out there daughter for a piece of the pie, that is their business.
Don't try and tell us this has something to do with morals and being wholesome.
The kids can be suckered in easily enough but parents should think twice before buying into
this artificial and manufactured corporate greed.

“No it is not racist for Blacks to turn out in large numbers to vote for someone they
can identify with. There are woman voting for Hillary because she is a woman.
I am a white woman voting for a mixed race man because I believe he is not part of the status quo and is young enough to breathe fresh air into a stale political landscape.
I know enough about him and his stance on issues I care about to make that decision.

But there are people out there who will not vote for a black man, or a muslim, even though they know he is neither. It is the ignorant who are always the most arrogant
in their arguments.”

“ The idea is to keep the fight going as long, hard and nasty as possible. This will cost both Clinton and Obama a small fortune in cash. It will force Clinton and Obama to continue to dig up issues and attack each other. It will physically and mentally wear down both Clinton and Obama, their staffs and supporters. And tired politicians frequently make unforced errors. Some Democratic staff and supporters may fall subject to the same malady as many NFL teams who think making it to the Super Bowl is the big achievement and then back off and lose. And all this goes on while McCain takes it easy, spends little, raises cash and polishes his image. What a country!”

“There is no illegal about what Limbaugh is doing. You can switch your party registration to vote in closed primaries, and then vote for either party in a general election.
You have to give Rush credit for understanding just how polarizing Hillary Clinton's personality is to a great number of Americans.
This is something most of the mainstream media is afraid to address directly.
Why are there so many Americans who can't stand this woman?
Obama was being kind when he said to her "you are likeable enough."
I don't see it myself, never have.

Hallmark probably has a nice card she can send Mr. Limbaugh though.”

She is dividing the party and splitting the vote. Her name will not be on the ballot in
November (hopefully) Her base of supporters will vote Democrat in the fall, unless
she continues to poison the well for her own ambitions.
It would not surprise me if the Clintons somehow figure out a way to get her
on the ballot before the election though. They are reading the playbook right now!
