“Do you disagree with the requirement to use steel shot when shooting waterfowl?”

“I don't agree or disagree with it. I'm apathetic torwards it as I am not a bird hunter or bird lover.
But at least the steel shot mandate is based on credible science. The way ducks eat, they would injest anything that was on the bottom of a pond, including lead shot. The lead shot would then be broken down by the birds digestive system, consequently poisoning the duck.
The lead Maher speaks about is just sitting in the sides of hills or in the dead bodies of shot animals. And that's usually where it stays. It's not going to soak into our drinking water or in any other way leech into the environment, therefore it's not really in the purview of the EPA like other products that contain a completely different form of lead (paints, fuels, etc).”
“F'ing thank you Tom. You are the only one I will be voting for.”

“And what if he doesn't win the primary? Not to say he won't; not living there I don't know. Would you support Falk in the general recall effort if she wins? I mean isn't it more important to oust Walker than just support Barrett?”

“I suppose one could argue I made a moot point, as I am sure there are plenty of cases in which a person of smaller stature was able to incapacitate a larger person. However, Zimmerman was able to get Trayvon off of him, and fire TWO shots. So even if Trayvon did surprise attack him, he had enough time to make one of many decisions, two of which involve drawing a weapon. I hate being speculative but...arrrrgh.
Also: in the time that I've been writing this long winded (im sorry) response, Im seeing this on Daily Show, lets see what happens.”

“I don't believe that this murderer even had to draw his weapon....I think he had it out and ready to use.”

“I agree with you..one of my first questions on this investigation was the difference in sizes of them. Trayvon had every reason to be concerned about why this person was watching/following him. I myself as a teenager would be totally freaked if I went to the store for Kittles & ice tea and got approached by this man would be very paranoid. We only have Zimmermans account of this but as a WHITE Grandma (67 yrs) with two grown children and three grand-children who has seen more than Zimmerman ever will...you definitely have a control issue. You SHOULD never be allowed a weapon. The only reason you haven't come forward is beacause you have or retained a high price lawyer who will represent you whether he wins or loses he will make millions!! You make me sick and whatever the outcome one way or the other you will regret what you did. RIP TRAYVON!”
“I wasn't trying to be offensive, and perhaps you were pointing more to the fact that it showed up in the main column instead of the side column.
I apologize if i offended you.”

“My apologies for being so defensive. The nuances of internet conversation are lost on me. I was just saying, obscenity hasn't really been an issue in what, 25 years? I think as a society we're past that. Or I thought we were. Most of us.”
“"The researchers compared "empowering" and "disempowering" poses in the popular pictorial pornography of each nation"
I enjoy this comparison, because there is a big difference between porn in which a woman or man is receiving pleasure and porn where the receiver is not experiencing pleasure.
However, they mention bondage only as disempowering . Bondage is an enjoyable experience for many people. I can understand how pictures/video would be concerning to some, as one is not aware of the conditions under which that particual actor is placed into bondage. But there are sites that are dedicated to presenting fetish porn such as bondage with full respect for the actors involved. And this type of pornography may serve as educational to those people who are interested in learning and practicing.”
