Obviously everyone on here only proves how horrendous our education system is and how much disinformation FOX continues to spew to the ignorant among us. I think this is why America is no longer exceptional in any way along with the horrendous disaster that was George W”

“The thing is that the fact that she couldn't hold her own on policy in the 2008 election didn't prevent people from idolizing her anyway. Read the article and watch the video that New Left Media posted from the Palin Book signing. Those people love her and it doesn't even bother them that they can't give a coherent reason why, and they have no clue about her actual policy positions. Policy doesn't seem to matter to them.

“As long as our government is run on legalized bribery, there will be no improvement. We do not have a government of the people, by the people nor for the people. This country is no longer a democracy. Corporations own the government and they have no interest in the people except as a revenue stream. And we wonder why other countries don't want the "democracy" we are trying to shove down their throats. I see no hope for this country until we develop some interest in addressing the issue of corporate owned government. So far I see no evidence of that.”

“I've heard some talk about the anti-trust exemption being eliminated by this bill, but I think some conservadem insisted on that being taken out as the price of their vote. If that's not a statement of who owns that senator, I don't know what is. It is obviously not the constituents. Allowing the insurance companies to get bigger and bigger and maintain monopolies does not benefit anyone but the insurance companies. I wonder what it will take to convince these guys that monopolies are not a good thing? How much more evidence to we need?”

“I see a lot of criticism here. What, exactly, would YOU have done that would be better than what has been done? How would YOU have rescued the economy? I don't know if what has been done can fix things or not, but I do know that I don't have a better idea. It's really easy to say that someone is wrong, but I would be more inclined to listen to you if you had an idea that looked more like it would work. What I heard at the time was that no one knew what to do. Anything that was done would have been trial and error. Sometimes things work and sometimes they don't. Unless you can say you have an idea that would solve the issue, it's probably best to shut up. I didn't hear anyone saying that last fall or early this year, even the smartest economists in the country.”
