Lyndon Johnson, His National Security Advisor and His Secretary of Defense Say All

Commented Nov 23, 2009 at 12:10:44 in World

“The generals are lining up against Obama like the 7 Days in May. Since it's a known fact that Petraeus is building his resume for Commander in Chief soon, and he and his side-kick McCrystal can't keep their mouths shut and can't stop making policy, it's time for Obama to do his job and fire them both and end this latest chapter in the Great Game of empire building in that corrupt part of the world.

Read how the US Funds the Taliban in the Nation Magazine that will make you sicker than you are now.

“I thought Obama campaigned to end this. Unfortunately, he has no experience, either in the military or as a leader. As such, he as been completely bowled over, and believes the BS coming from the military brass, the CIA, and the war profiteers, who are as good as the financial industry that also owns him, in looting the treasury. To those powerful interests, the blood of US soldiers (men and women who can't get a job at home) doesn't count in the equation. The same "war is good for business" gang kept the clusterf*ck going in Vietnam - sending platoons of soldiers out to get ambushed in jungles instead of mountain valleys in Afghanistan. History, and the Russians have repeatedly shown us it's a no win. We now have a crooked US puppet president, and former CIA bag-man, in there to help justify the US being there.”

“Pretty sickening. That's why Bush I and II stacked the deck on the SCOTUS in favor of the corporations. Remember Don Regan, Reagan's Secy of Treasury who was head of Merrill Lynch and told Reagan what to do, like Cheney told Bush II what to do? And Obama is working hard on the NAFTA superhighway to close the deal, give illegals the same rights as citizens, and put more Americans out of work.”

“And don't forget Henry Paulson, Bush II's Sec. of Treasury, was the CEO of Goldman Sachs. His net worth is estimated to be over $700,000,000. And if you don't think this was part of a long term plan to steal the equity from average Americans, you need to start paying attention.”

It's so pervasive and unfortunately -- business as usual as the crooked corporations use their TARP bailout money to continue to buy the politicians and the SEC to look the other way.”

“You go Michael Moore! And those who seem to think that unchecked "capitalism" makes us free, educate yourselves - take a course in how Goldman Sachs runs Washington by reading Matt Taibbi's July Rolling Stones expose on how the compliant politicians enabled the dirty schemes over the decades. Then to understand just how the TARP really worked, read "Good Billions After Bad, the Bailout One Year Later" in the current Vanity Fair Magzine. None of this is fiction and it's enough to make you sick. Of course Salon whines that VF didn't ask any economists - duh do you need to ask an economist about whether more dirty deals , with zero accountability to established crooks is going to change anything? And the same VF interviews Saint Henry Paulson who is coming out with a book next month - probably in the vein of George Tenet -- it wasn't my fault. Don't buy books written by crooks.”

“They need to reform the markets and get the government and our tax dollars out of covering their gambling losses. If firms risk losing their own money, they won't take such risky ventures. However, these firms hire many of the politicians or their cronies to cushy jobs at high compensation. So neither party is motivated to reform the system. They just yell at Wall Street to make it look like they're unhappy.”

Greed, politics and money is the reason the Marines are still being slaughtered on the front lines of a useless "war" while high paid contractors party , f*ck around, and get paid for it. I read in my newspaper this morning that the private contractors guarding the embassy there (what US Marines used to do) needed to be "watched". Change we can believe in?

“The corporate handlers keep confusion going by labeling the American people - left, right, liberal, upside down, red dog, blue dog, yellow dog-- It's called divide and conquer people.

As one woman wrote in our local paper this week, her 80 something mother had become a mouth piece, spouting the ignorant cliches and blather from the cable news. She turned off those 24 hour lying, talking heads. And who are the people posting comments here to say that Larry isn't the right messenger? Who the F are you anyway? Don't you know how he took on, and won a supreme court case on the first amendment. And for defending everyone's first amendment rights, he was shot by a domestic terrorist .

Larry, you're a hero, Keep doing what you do, writing about what's real and pushing for adherence to the Constitution. After watching how Obama has operated since taking office, one can see that Obama is the perfect Majordomo, chosen for the job by his corporate handlers.”

“Dr Weil knows that a high percentage of what is wrong with a person's body is either caused by or can be corrected by what you eat. I bought Gladys Lindberg's book, "Take Charge of Your Health" years ago.

Most American's diets are horrible and too many doctors just want to give you a prescription drug. They are rewarded by how many prescriptions they write. For example, menopause is a natural process but the majority of the OB/GYNs I went to were asking which cocktail of hormones you want to try instead of just dealing with it as a natural body process. I researched and read "The Greatest Experiment Ever Performed on Women" and said no.”

Shattering the Right vs. Left Prism Once Again: The Wall Street Journal Goes After Goldman and the Bank Bailout

“and many, many US businesses currently employ illegals so they can operate sweatshops right here in the USA, pay dirt poor wages and no benefits. The illegals get free (to them and the businesses) health care courtesy of Medicaid and free public defenders and and and they are here illegally. period. The Obama admin has adopted the Bush-same policies and goals of "bring em in" and let em stay".

Yeah, none of them voted for Obama, The people who did thought he would bring "we the people" back to the word government and uphold the Constitution. I was one of those.”

Cybershaman replied on Jul 17, 2009 at 07:59:13

“Blaming the 'illegals' for this mess is falling for the same 'divide and conquer' tactics that have been used to keep us fighting amongst ourselves for centuries. The 'illegals' are just economic refugees from areas that are in worse shape than we are. If companies were not able to pay lower wages by pitting us against more desperate people, and if our own economic opportunities had not been shipped over the borders, this would not be a problem. The same forces that have destroyed economic opportunity in Mexico for decades has been implemented here. Rather than using our economy and knowhow to improve the living standards of the rest of the world, we have had our standards lowered to third world status.

Blame those in positions of power, not the people who are scrambling for any way they can find to feed their families. If you think about it those who dare to sneak around the corrupt rules in order to find economic opportunity are the very ones who have the most gumption and drive to succeed. They are not passively waiting for some bureaucratic solution. They would be admired by the very people who disparage them if the Statue Of Liberty still means anything.”

“In the past 50 years how many governors have resigned just to resign? Not any I know of. And when they did it was because they were caught with either their pants down or an ethical problem. Some, like that Blagojevich and that SC birdbrain Stanford have the hubris to actually think their states want or need them and have to be thrown out. And this one's opinion of herself is too high to just quit to go campaigning in a year when there aren't any campaigns.”

“No future campaigns for Palin. The conventional wisdom was that Palin return to Alaska, after the election, keep her head down and learn all she could about foreign policy, etc. as well as do the best job possible as governor of Alaska, then look at the possibility of running in 2012. She did neither.

Her week long feud with David Letterman and the "screw you" speech, coupled with the VF article were the final nails in her coffin, from which she could not survive.”

“Yes, tax incentives to companies who employ US citizens - yeah real US citizens, not the ones who steal identities that the senate democrats eliminated e-verify in the stimulus legislation for (gotta two-fer there pander to the hispanic vote and pay back those road and construction lobbies) and tax penalties to those who don't and are caught employing illegals. The unemployment figures are bogus because they are only counting the ones who are collecting or file for unemployment. My son worked for a Ritz Camera store in a mall in NC that closed last week. Ritz/Wolf Camera is/has closed 400+ stores nationwide. These stores typically only have two full time employees - the two managers who are eligible for unemployment. The rest of the people working and losing their jobs are considered part time because there are few full time jobs and they won't let them work 40 hours a week so that they are eligible for benefits. Those people do not show up on the statistics.”
