If the producers didn't want Cloris to stick around, they shouldn't have put her on the show. Each season, there one person who outlasts better dancers due to showmanship or entertainment value in spite of a lack of superior dance skills. Jerry Springer, Marie Osmond, George Hamiltion.
The show IS a popularity contest. That's why Susan Lucci is still there. Her AMC fans are extremely loyal even though her dancing skills are obviously subpar. She was even more ridiculous than Cloris during the group dance and Lucci was trying.”

“I don't think she is a horrible person. I think most of the disdain is not because she does not think what we think, but moreso because she does think. By that, I mean, she does not appear to have original thoughts; she lacks intelluctual curiousity and takes pride in it (those who think are elistist). She parrots that the campaign tells her to say. “I think it was an effective and important ad. McCain is out of touch with regular Americans. Whether it is not knowing how many houses he owns or not being able to send an email or his advisors thinkign Americans are whiny or that all Americans have health insurance because they can go to the ER.
