“Unfortunately it is not much to the detriment of this country. Unemployment is 10.8% and will hit 12%-13% by 2010. Inflation will begin because Congress will not control their spending and then the Dems will hit the middle class with a tax hike which Geithner does not deny. All of this will be just in time for the mid-terms. Come back and we will talk about small worlds then. Carter Redux!”

This vote and this statement will serve to encourage other Republicans to do the right thing versus the political thing (and to a lesser extent, Democrats too), and will break the back of the treasonous wing of the Republican Party.”

“A few possibilities come to mind. First, that it was disinformation to prevent the possibility of a rescue attempt by any companions the shooter might have had. Second, it might have been to safeguard the life of the suspect until they can get him into a more secure setting. Finally, it could also be the result of chaos at the scene, with ambulances carrying out severely wounded individuals and an initial lack of centralized control.”

“Republicans have enveloped themselves in a no-win dichotomy of paving the way for the .1% already successful and erecting road blocks for the 99.9% striving classes--praising the former and mocking the latter. Good.”

PWM replied on Nov 05, 2009 at 08:36:31

“I agree. The GOP merely wants more of the same broken system. What gets me is the Republicans gave Iraq in total around $950 million so they can rebuild their universal healthcare system. Iraq is 1/10 the population of the US. If we increase that by 10, we have $950 billion - which is what Obama wants over a decade. So the Republicans have no problem using American tax money, running up our National Debt, to bring universal healthcare to Iraq, but heaven forbid Americans get healthcare. “Republicans have no idea just how much the people do not want them anywhere near the reins of power. The most likely outcome of yesterday's Republican "wins" is that they will get their smarm back, overplay their hand and further alienate is themselves from the people.”

“You keep telling yourself that as your collecting your unemployment check. Voters want jobs which is the number 1 issue in both NJ & Virginia. If you have to feed your family you are voting for the candidate not party that can lead you there. Obama has failed the rust belt especially Ohio and Michigan, unemployment continues to climb.

The democratic state senate in CA is forcing businesses to relocate to neighboring states. CA hates Nancy Pelosi and Senator Boxer. NV hates Harry Reid. Continued high unemployment and tax and spend policies will encourage more voters to jump ship from the democratic party especially the swing voters and independent voters. Democratic Congress and Senate please continue to sink your ship.”
