“Truly tragic, have to wonder what role the divorce court played in pushing this guy over the edge to commit such a crime.”
tjsand on Nov 5, 2013 at 12:33:31
“none I would say...no matter what was happening with their child support issues - the responsibility for his actions lies with him”
TruufWarrior on Nov 5, 2013 at 07:28:37
“I have to agree. Seems this particular court has been suspect for some time.”
doorlie on Nov 5, 2013 at 06:59:51
“Yeah. It's sound like the court. . . what?!?!?!?!”
warrenmueller on Nov 5, 2013 at 06:49:45
“That's very foolish, Ivan . . .”

“Having undergone a very nasty divorce 20 years ago, don't blame that process for his actions. His own out-of-control hatred and sick need to control his ex-wife triggered his actions, and as a doctor, he had to know he needed professional help to address it. Unfortunately, he made this tragic choice leaving the worst possible legacy could have for their children.”

“None. If he can't handle his responsibilities he shouldn't have them.”

Clearly, there is a problem with Democrats and guns.”
Floyd MacGillicutty on Oct 9, 2013 at 09:51:35
“Funny, in about 80% of those cases, you have no proof that the shooter belonged to any political party, let alone the Democrats.
Also funny how you leave out the big elephant in the room: Tim McVeigh - Republican.
And it's also funny how you also leave out the following KNOWN right-wingers:
The Kane Brothers
But go ahead, keep spinning those myths.”
NY Trooper on Oct 7, 2013 at 19:46:56
“Is it that Democrats suffer more from mental illness or are they purposefully trying to limit our Constitutional rights by making it appear as if guns are a problem?”

“Unfortunately your translations of your husbands announcement was obviously flawed.
Here’s the real translation:
Over the past 25 years you have taken me for granted, you didn’t love me for me, only what I was able to provide you with. You didn’t listen to my concerns, fears, instead focused on your own selfish desires. Over the past several years it has become apparent that you will only continue to view the world through your own selfish eyes. Oh and you forget that foreplay is a two way street.
Life is too short. See Ya!”

“You just stole my bio! Just substitute 25 yrs with 33, and 70 lbs for 110.
“What these polls do show is that people are coming to their senses that the loony proposals being put forth by the liberal/progressives would not make one bit of difference in reducing the slaughter of innocents.
BTW you forgot to provide the disclaimer that polls collecting data on a web site are not scientific in nature and in no way are representative of the overall perceptions of Americans.
The incidents of the past week in DC and Chicago clearly show that despite harsh and stringent gun control laws they flat out do not work.
DC, Newton, Colorado all show a failure of the Mental Health system in America.
Chicago is nothing but a byproduct of years of Liberal/Progressive social policies which enable the grinding poverty that breeds the crime their citizens are forced to endure.”
Justtheobvious on Sep 21, 2013 at 10:10:31
“Exactly how many years of liberal policies in the last 4 decades?”
“Reasons why come in two flavors, Yours and theirs and are frequently different.
Engaging in any details other than:
We tried very hard to make this work but couldn't.
You are in no way to blame for the failure of our marriage.
We both still love you very much and will continue to work very hard to see that you you grow into a fine successful person.
Are the only acceptable messages kids should receive. Are they 100% accurate? The kids will judge that over time and form their own opinions.”
BookQueen on Sep 10, 2013 at 20:12:14
“Sometimes those things aren't true. I don't think falsehood will help them.
If one partner really didn't try, should you lie for them and confuse the kid?
If one person's love for their child is not shown in how they act, should you lie for them or help your child adjust to reality? (I would draw a line between pointing out the parent's lack of love and not saying we both love you when one parent is deserting their kid, etc.)”
TheZestyOne on Sep 10, 2013 at 12:42:43
“Absolutely agree with you. Rarely is there one "truth" anyways. It will be one person's perception of truth and will naturally taint the view of the child toward the other parent.
Your message is clear, and kind, and neutral. It is best for the children.”

“Nonsense. Be honest. It is amazing how kids blame themselves otherwise. And if it's a matter of infidelity, they need to know - because it can and should affect their future relationships if the correspondent becomes a "step."”
“Let this be a lesson to all young men thinking about marriage. Somewhere on your Deal breaker list should be a line item "Does your GF have the ability and disposition to support herself?" If no - move on to the next.”
nuzzybear on Sep 3, 2013 at 09:30:14
“Not just herself - there will be times when she needs to support you, too. One heart attack and you could be weak as a kitten watching her go to work to keep your health insurance up. A good marriage is a partnership that leaves you stronger than if you'd had that heart attack alone.”
“How can you convict a person on just someone's word?
Easy Pezzy: Alleged sex crime + female victim = guilty for reasons of having facial hair and a penis.
Welcome to the American Justice system.”
Katherine Conner on Aug 25, 2013 at 13:43:15
“It is Easy to convict on word alone. I was convicted on a fraudulent unlicensed contractor's word alone in East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. A civil matter that shouldn't have even been prosecuted as criminal. My son was prosecuted and convicted on teacher's word alone, although we asked to see school cameras, and the D A was a conflict of interest because he served as legal counsel to the school board. The country is going up in smoke!!!”
“It’s hardly a perception, it’s a fact, and depending on the state some are better than others.
Let’s start with the lack of accountability on judges parts to fairly interpret the laws. Many are patriarchal and impose their views on divorce proceedings.
Alimony – pluezze.
Division of property: Again governed by state laws and those with Common Property are highly favorable to women.
Child Custody: Many state still lack the presumption of shared custody.
False Domestic Violence claims, the weapon of choice by women.
And people wonder why men are foregoing marriage?”
“Is called Optical Recognition, used for sorting mail. In the old days this was done by Union workers, sitting at an assembly line doing mind numbing repetitive work. Sometimes causing those with mental health issues to loose it.
Thus the term Going Postal.”
