Obama's Case for Sanity - Step One: Shun Fox

Commented Sep 20, 2009 at 13:08:20 in Media

“On the other hand, if President Obama had spoken with Chris Wallace - Fox Speak will (or would have) used what ever the President said to fuel their continuing right wing vitriol BUT perhaps some - a few of those who take in a daily dose of Fox might have listened with an open mind and added his measured reason to the mix of information by which they judge this health reform effort.

How could that be bad?”

Sharon Hunt replied on Sep 21, 2009 at 11:16:59

“everything the President said if he went on Fox News would have been tainted. Also, why should he go on Fox when Fox refuses to air any of his newsconferences? Two weeks ago, when he spoke to a joint session of Congress, Fox didn't broadcast that. You can't have it both ways Faux!!! I truly believe that people who watch Fox on a daily basis are brainwashed.”

City of Evil replied on Sep 20, 2009 at 18:34:56

“The people who get all their news from Fox are a lost cause. Obama shouldn't waste any time on them.”

Tavern on the Green: A Family Tradition

Commented Jul 27, 2009 at 19:42:40 in New York

“I met Mr. Leroy & his designer years ago when I was asked to help solve some lighting problems. He was passionate then about the restaurant and I know it continued. It wasn't just the business it was the institution that he built.

It should continue in the LeRoy tradition and family. What can be done?”

Shut Up, Jen! Why Won't Aniston Stop Dissing Angelina and the Media?

“OK, I think the press obsession with AJ is just that obsessive but it makes money - right? So I personally ignore it and silently protest her hypocrisy by not buying tickets to her movies. BUT I need to weigh in here because she started this round of vitriol.

When stating publicly in an interview that it was wonderful that her kids could some day watch the movie where their parents fell in love, she was in fact twisting the knife. What is the point in bringing that up other than gloating? She set her sights on a guy who was committed to someone else (just as she did in Pushing Tin!) and was victorious. What is the point in exploiting it other than to stir up pain. She is not a nice person.

Angie should shut up, not Jen.”

Is Elisabeth Hasselbeck Too Dumb to Be on The View?

Commented Oct 24, 2008 at 09:37:58 in Media

“The View has significantly "dumbed down" since its early cast days. I loved the days with Joy, Star, Meredith and Lisa. I stopped watching when Rosy replaced Star. It became the combative vibe that continues today. They are no longer a cohesive group.Joy, however is a "joy". Her frank politics are very refreshing.”

“Amazing post. I love to read people that just cut through the BS and tell it like it is.

I am adding Paul Slansky to my list of favs that includes Joy Bahar, Frank Rich, Anna Quindlen and of course Arianna Huffington. Keep telling the truth folks and lets all hope enough people are listening.”

“I hope he does just as you suggest, a team of rivals - out there running as the administration in waiting. Diffuse the intense vitriolic focus of the usual republican slam machine.

Great idea, republicans, independants and all. I like the idea of Hillary as Defense good place for the macho image she has buildt, not State. Maybe Richardson for State.

I think Kennedy for Education (Caroline)”

Speaking for the Older Women: On Obama and Clinton

Commented Feb 13, 2008 at 14:00:21 in Politics

“Wonderfully said and a significant statement from a woman who has seen some of the less positive ramifications of the Clinton ideology in practice. I hope this letter is widely read.

I too have campaigned, phoned and contributed because for me, Senator Obama's message, the life he has lead as well as the amazing campaign he has waged - inspires me as no candidate for President has since my first vote for President Kennedy.

If there is a Grannies for Obama movement, count me in!!”
