He's an ineffectual leader who promised change but delivered more of the same old bribocracy.”

“Before the election, at the same time Obama was appealing to homophobes by saying he didn't support marriage equality, he promised gay voters he would repeal DOMA. After the election, Instead of repealing DOMA, Obama's administration issued legal briefs in support of it comparing a gay California couple's marriage to incest and child sexual abuse.

Obama's promise to repeal Don't Ask:has been delayed and delayed again. First Obama asked Congress not to consider repealing it this year. Now Obama want Congress to delay a repeal until after 2010 elections. In the mean time, Obama is doing everything in his power to separate gay soldiers from the military.

Anyone paying attention already knows these things.”

“"Obama wisely deferred smaller, politically hazardous battles over issues such as closing Guantanamo, ending ' Don't Ask, Don't Tell' ..."

Thank you for making my point. Your dismissal of the repeal of laws requiring the government to discriminant against gay Americans as "hazardous battles" says everything we need to know.

In 2010 and 2012, I'll be supporting any other candidate and any other party that is not so dismissive of my civil rights.”

Maezeppa replied on Dec 22, 2009 at 10:25:11

“Gays are what, 4% of the population? Obama is focusing his time on issues that will improve and preserve quality of life for 100% of the population, you included. Why should he jeopardize success in essential areas? Your day will come but you will not find a candidate less "dismissive" of your civil rights than the one in office today. Settle down, hang on.”
