Quakers Advocate Living in 'Right Relationship' with Creation

“Quaker EarthCare Witness [QEW], formerly known as Friends' Committee on Unity with Nature, [FCUN] has been an active Yearly Meeting Supported Committee for the Eaarh since 1988. Greenpeace was also founded by Norwegian Friends, and is supported today by Friends worldwide. It would be our fondest hope that anyone reading this contact www.fcnl.org [ Friends' Committee on National Legislation ] and join the 'Green Team'. You will then be able to lobby Congress and the President on all relevant legislation pertaining to the 'right use' of energy, and the Environment.”

“Thanks Jack! Huffington Post prefers short articles focused on current events, but I was aware that I was leaving out the many people who have worked hard on these issues for a long time, particularly QEW and FCNL. Thanks for raising them up.”

“Open Letter to President Obama

Dear Mr President:

I have written you many times in the past, but now the serious nature of your failure to grasp the looming problems with Climate Change and the environmental catastrophe in the Gulf compel a reasoned response from you...

To date nothing of any consequence, nor a real position on the most pressing issue of our time have issued from your administration. You have on the other hand backpedalled at the UN, and stalled any real progress on the renewable energy front.
You have appointed weak and compromised cabinet secretaries
in DOE, and DOI. Dr Chu a likable individual whom i have heard on a number of conference calls initiated by the BIG NGOs sadly displays his conventional training as a nuclear professional.

The idiocy deployed in wasting taxpayers money on clean coal or safe nukes is disappointing at best and displays your ignorance on the work of ‘net energy’ a huge initiative of President Carter’s DOE.

I would recommend you sit down with President Carter and get his candid assessment of nuclear thermal generating plants. At the same time you might get a few pointers on ‘net energy’ from President Carter, in my humble opinion the finest and most intelligent president of the 20th. century.

A green economy will provide our and the worlds’ people freedom from tyrannical forces of chaos dominating the political landscape in all the western democracies and state run capital[ism] in Asia.

Kind Regards,
Jack Bradin

“Unfortunately, Obama doesn't have the leisure of viewing this from your single-focused perspective.”

No real position on the most pressing issue of our time has issued from your administration. You have on the other hand backpedalled at the UN, and stalled all progress on meaningful renewable energy legislation world wide.

The idiocy deployed in wasting taxpayers money on clean coal or safe nukes is disappointing at best and displays your ignorance on the work of ‘net energy’ a huge initiative of President Carter’s DOE.

I would recommend you sit down with President Carter and get his candid assessment of nuclear thermal generating plants. i had the wonderful fortune of being a fly on the wall 32 years ago when i sat in a big room at DOE and heard first hand President Carter’s remarks. At the same time you might get a few pointers on ‘net energy’ from President Carter, in my humble opinion the finest and most intelligent president of the 20th. century.

It is early in your journey with truth, please rethink your policy on the coming green economy. An economy that will provide our and the worlds’ people freedom from tyranny and the forces of chaos that dominate the political landscape in all the western democracies and state run capital[ism] in Asia.
