“On yesterday’s Ed Show (on MSNBC), I watched Ed Schultz and Mr. Alter go back and forth on the issue of health care reform. It almost looked like Mr. Schultz was about to burst. He was highly animated – but so was Alter.

Just to be fair, I think Alter has a good point – but I fit with those who are equally angry at how this debate has evolved. Today, President Obama gave some details to his supporters, and he reassured me (and the public) that the fight for health care reform is alive and well, and he gave out some additional talking points for us to share with others who oppose this change.

In a sense – I kind of agree with both Schultz and Alter.

Bottom line, something has to be delivered, so I’m volunteering my time to take the fight to the streets. We can channel our anger into something positive. We can start by keeping a level head and begin disseminating the truth to people who need it.

In the end, the public option may or may not pass – but some form of change will happen. We just need to keep our heads level in the process.”

Obama and congress will definitely feel the effect of this in 2010 and 2012 if the public option is off the table. There is no final bill, as of today. But if that final bill excludes the fundamental change we voted for, I will no longer support this administration. See - it works this way...after they offer a one-sided opinion, any opposition to their diatribes is equally rebuked for a "balanced and often fair" attack. That way - they can use that mantra - fair and balanced - without feeling guilty for not delivering on what they say they offer.

The club can be ran in anyway that the owner wishes, being that it is a private club.

However, the club may be violating both federal and state civil laws. In addition, if they have "rules" that dictate exclusive exceptions - then those rules are to be posted.

On their rules - there is no mandate that excludes ANY minority - which would be a clear violation. However, their action alone may be grounds for a class action civil lawsuit that will literally bankrupt them - since I doubt that any of their "privileged" members will support this once the lawsuit is in play.

Besides, once this is nationalized - and becomes more public - and generates more public anger from a larger perspective, it may even close the club on that merit alone.

Let's hope so.”
