The Witch Hunter Anoints Sarah Palin

“I hope the clip from "The View" is available on-line. Two of the panel of four defended the activities in this film clip as being what is done in churches. When Joy questioned protecting Sarah from witchcraft, Elizabeth responded yes, they pray for your protection from witchcraft and evil and all sort of things. Sherry told Joy and Whoopie they just didn't understand that that's normal in churches since they don't go to church. She said pastors always pray over people who are facing something unusual in their lives. The two who found this "normal" managed to shut down any further discussion of the matter that quickly. Then Elizabeth complained about the "hating on" Sarah Palin. Is it possible that 50% or more of the voters would find this pastor's concerns about protecting Palin from witchcraft to be normal?”

“I agree regarding the swing states. Here in New Mexico (went for Gore in 2000 and Bush in 2004, both very close, as is the current race) the McCain/Palin show is going to be at the Convention Center today. The tickets were all gone within hours of the announcement that they were available. They're now saying that due to the high demand, more seats have been added and more tickets are available. At least one news channel is going to broadcast the whole thing live. Dems will be making a fatal mistake if they continue to think that their current course of action will win the race. Dems need to have a comprehensive plan to physically take registered voters to the polls. We have many elderly, physically impaired, rural and widowed citizens who are registered Democrats, but who do not vote. Typical calls from phone banks are nothing but annoyances and very unwelcome among the voters with whom I've discussed the issue. Calls asking, "May I pick you up and take you to your voting location?" would produce votes.”
