“Dude, Mr. Clinton's eyes are closed and it appeared he was anticipating his wife's kiss. The photo is quite sensual, regardless of how you view the Clintons in general.”

Tiger Woods Deserves Your Scrutiny

Commented Dec 01, 2009 at 21:05:52 in Sports

“I am an attorney and I can tell you that the State DOES have the right to intervene in family matters. We live in a society of Laws and when laws are broken (or where there is substantial reason to believe they have been) the State has not only the right, but the duty to step in.

Judges exercise their responsibility to act in capacity of "parens patriae", where child abuse, child neglect, parental unfitness, etc. are suspected. In very serious cases, they can even terminate parental rights. Prosecutors are imbued with the power to investigate and file charges in domestic abuse cases.

Where warranted, the State should protect the Peace and Dignity of its denizens. Who would think otherwise?”

Tiger Woods Deserves Your Scrutiny

Commented Dec 01, 2009 at 13:12:52 in Sports

“Dude, I must disagree

Once this spat, melee, confrontation (or whatever it truly is) spilled onto the street, resulting in a "traffic accident" and culminating in emergency services being called to the scene, it became a matter of public interest and concern.

As sad as that fact may be, it just is.”

“In response to your comment below but for which there was no reply link to click: Being a lawyer you're hobbled by your inability to see beyond your faith and training that the law is sacrosanct. Lawyers and politicians can make all the laws they want to. Means nothing other than to provide a paycheck for you and other parasites. I'm talking about something beyond your narrow focus. I'm talking about right and wrong. You should know better than anyone here how wrong the law is and how much it differs from justice, good and right and wrong.

The state has no business interfering in family matters. Family matters should be handled in the family. Period. Family is above the state always.”

Last Night's Lesson: It Ain't Rocket Science

Commented Nov 04, 2009 at 17:11:12 in Politics

“"What no one is saying & what no one will dare admit is that our dear President was only elected because he is Black!"

There you go, spewing your simplistic dis-knowledge. Since when did the United States elect a person to the Presidency because he/she is Black? Let's see ... Rev. Jesse Jackson - No. Rev. Al Sharpton - No. Carol Moseley-Braun - No. How about that delusional birther, Alan Keyes - No! All Blacks who ran for President. Never elected. So much for your "logic".

In case you have not been made aware, President Obama was NOT on the ballot in Virginia or New Jersey yesterday. In fact at least 60% of the people who participated in the exit polls stated that Mr. Obama, as President, had NO bearing on how they voted. Did you happen to catch that bit of reality at all?

Did it also dawn on you that the voters in those States may not have liked the Democratic candidates, for reasons that are best known only to the locals? BTW, Mayor Bloomberg barely won relection - by the literal skin of his teeth. Was that because he is a 'Friend of Barack'?

A little less fixation on the President may very well be in order. Else, rational people might begin to think you are deifying a mere mortal man.”

“Assuming the veracity of your statistics, law enforcement still needs reasonable cause to conduct a legitimate stop. And a person's skin color (otherwise known as a 'racial profile') standing alone, is insufficient cause. As you may know, entering the U.S. via gaps in the physical border is but one way to attain illegal immigrant status ... however, it is not the only way.

Accordingly, any plausible effort to stem the tide of illegal immigration must be all-encompassing, not just based on what biases one may harbor against a certain cognizable ethnic group.”

However, at a very fundamental level, the scourge of racism and the disastrous effect it has upon actual human beings, is sufficient reason for most decent people to want to fight it. In any form that it may appear.”

“Your point is well taken. However, the reality of American life, especially as it bears upon the raging immigration debate, is that persons of obvious European ancestry (such as the French, Russians and Norwegians) are not readily targeted as are so-called "minorities" such as Asians, and MOST especially, Latinos.

Clealry, immigrants in the United States come from every nation on Earth. However, I haven't ver of law enforcement randomly stopping Caucasian motorists to check their immigration status. Neither have I seen any news reports of I.C.E. conducting raids in homes and workplaces where whites predominate, in an effort to flush out potential illegal aliens. Have you?”

“Some took Kyl's statement personally. Ann wrote, "Does Senator Kyl CARE about my family?" She ended a long message by summing up the mood of everyone who wrote in: "Jon Kyl - he's just not that into you!"

Actually, Ann, NO, Jon Kyl does not care about your family. He does not care if you lose the roof over your head, to pay sky-high medical costs. He does not care if you have to choose between paying for medications and feeding your children. And he certainly does not care if you die in childbirth due to obstetrical complications. He is telling you that loudly, everyday. So, what are you gonna do?”
