Vaccination: A Conversation Worth Having

“Healthcare's obseguious minion Mr. Maher, NOT, you are the opposite, and for good reason, your opinions matter and your questions too. You are right, individuals need to take responsibility and ask questions about their OWN healthcare, it shouldn't fall on your shoulders, people need to learn the facts and decide for themselves . I chose not to get the vaccine based on what I read, and based on my questions of doubt on vaccines and ARE they necessary. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I really enjoyed reading what was on your mind for a change...I saw you in a whole new light.

The Most Amazing Hummingbird Mating Dance (VIDEO)

“They are such amazing creatures, it is wonderful to watch them, I have been working in flowers and felt them hovering near my ear, very cool. If they seem to like a color that I am wearing (red, purple) they just hover watching, kind of like, "are you for real" And, they talk constantly ...lots of little chatter, they are very amusing, just love hummingbirds.”

“I've had them fly down and hover right in front of my face before! They are one of my favorite animals :) I love the raspy twitters they make, too.”

The Story That Made Me Tear Up My Prepared Speech at a Big Education Conference

“Thank you Arianna for your words on such a terribly sad subject. I truly grieve for these chilldren and families. Their chance for a happy home, healthy upbringing, closeness of the newest friendships in life is literally STOPPED, the door slammed shut on them. And, they have no choice and are the underdog against banks and politicians. I will start to vigilantly look and listen for those needing assistance, since small voices may not have the courage to ask what they should not have to ask for; "a chance".”
What the Kennedy Who Lived on Had to Offer
Commented Aug 28, 2009 at 15:34:57 in Politics
“My deepest empathy to his family and his wife, his great companion in life. Someone that really, truly shared his beliefs and ideals. And, I wonder if, and I never play "if", since it doesn't make a difference unless your cutting pie or assemblying a spaceship. But what if, all of the Kennedy brothers lived to their golden years, how different this country, this world would be. The walls of change would have crumbled long ago and racial divide would be a past tense and instead of you or I, it would only be "we".
Senator Kennedy, did more than even good legislators do, he delivered what he himself believed in, it didn't" matter what his background was because he cared, he had compassion and he loved this country and all of her countryman.”

“Very nice article Arianna. And, Thank You, Senator Kennedy for being such a kind, compassionate man and one of a kind politician. In my lifetime I always believed a Kennedy would be around to hear the common man. You and your brothers, guardians of Camelot, made us all want to be better people, make a better world to live in, volunteer to help those in need. It was your compassions Senator that turned ideals into convictions, then conversations, than many times into laws or programs that helped people. Camelot will always be here, we just have to work hard with the same conviction you had; everyone has rights, deserves respect, should be treated fairly and given the right to live their life with dignity.”
Michael Vick: Black Sheep or Scapegoat on Animal Rights?
Commented Aug 17, 2009 at 15:33:54 in Green
“Should I punish Vick, if he truly wants to change?
Do I think he can change? YES.
Do I think it impacted him? YES.
Can he help abused animals? YES.
But that is up to him, organizations like; PETA, NRDC, WWF,National Humane Society, PAWS, Animals Asia can show him horrors that man and organizations do to animals, environment and ourselves that may help him to become a role model. Do I like that idea? YES, it is better than Vick just playing football.
The beauty of animals, in their natural environment, the beauty of the environment itself and understanding how we must protect it for them, for all of our sakes, is what I try to teach my son.
I am involved in some of the above organizations and do the best I am able to speak out on injustices I think are wrong. I can't make my son feel what I feel, but I can help him be strong and kind, so when he has to make choices as an adult, he can do so with a compassionate heart.”

“My sympathy to his family, it is a shame to have lost the man that created the film capsule of my generation. I liked his films and repeatedly watch them, "Home Alone" is now my 6-year old sons favorite, from which I frequently hear, "Keep the change you filthy animal", which is always followed by his laughter. Thank you Mr. Hughes, your movies are timeless because they touch our hearts in just that way from generation to generation. And, thank you Mr. Baldwin for your kind words about his films.”

The Zen of "Yes" or "No"

“Very nice article Tabby, enjoyed the read. I think as I get older, it is becoming easier to say "NO".
Maybe it is because I had a child later in life and that I have no free time to spare. Which, made me think,
am I extending myself not to friends, but to my own family so much so, that I have little left of me time, that is my dilemma.”

You've made a great point though about not overextending to friends, but maybe overextending with your family so much so that you have little time left for you. I wonder if the "No" there is the next step to reclaim some time for yourself and honor what you need.
Thanks for sharing.”

“Facebook is, I think an exciting and thing. And, good for you, I hope you gain alot of "friends"
I think I am a very assertive person and STILL I don't have the nerve to ask people to "friend" me, I feel like the last kitten in a pet store and sure they wouldn't want me, descriptively, of course.
I have only, sent one message to someone I don't know personally. They didn't respond and BLOCKED, me I think. That was enough venturing to shock me back to the pet store and the real world I guess. It sounds so sad, don't misunderstand me, I am successful, great friends and great family ,great life. IT IS NOT SAD. But, it is amazing how it makes you feel that you have shortcomings; if you don't do mobile uploads, or way cool pics, don't have lots of friends and I guess don't get "friend"-ed. But, maybe that is just me...TTYL”

I think you will be fine in political life, you have the vernacular and aggression needed. So, don't take it personal, it's strictly business to MSM scourge dogs, like Cafferty.
I bet he knew it would be your hot button, and he could try to be like "Bill-O" O'Reilly, another great journalist that repeats and perpetuates news, nothing on his own, just the spin.
Still think it is a lousy idea, don't start, go find a "silly fantasy". If, the MSM, thought there was nothing to your running, why are so many talking about it, maybe not such a lousy idea after all.”

“Iraq will be costing us a great deal more I fear when all is done. As much as McNamara's Vietnam, with respect to unnecessary troop involvment. War is peril, war is death, war costs more than lives and we never know going in what will happen. But exaggerated escalation from our own side seems to be the same path that the Bush Administration played.
And, for you, I have been waiting to hear what you would say on actually running. What is going to be your political platform on Education, Taxes, Healthcare, Abortion these are difficult issues and issues I hope you would handle subjectively and fairly.
If it is a fantasy you must follow it if you get a chance, Good Luck.”

by those you voted your told more meretricious garbage, by people you trusted.
Everything is just plain evaporating in front of our eyes; employment, stable financial markets,
good mortgage rates, healthcare that is about making people healthy and preventing illnesses. NOT CAUSING THEM. And an insurance industry that stands by its' own definition; coverage by person(s) or property(s) for a sum.
Sum-tin, Sum-tin in it for the COCS and PACS I would suspect.”

150 Years for Madoff?
Commented Jun 30, 2009 at 22:53:15 in Business
“Excessive, maybe, given that he won't out live his sentence, even with good time shaved off by 12 years, according to Larry Levine, former federal prison inmate who served 10 years for white collar crime, and is now a prison consultant. While Madoff only swindled, many people took their own lives out of shame or the sadness of losing their families fortunes. Somehow he is culpable and putting him in charge is an insult, like asking the mad hatter at the tea party to make the kool aid, would you drink it? If anyone should be appointed it should be Harry Markopolus, hope correctly spelled. Here is a man that kept telling his bosses that something was wrong, not one SEC manager, director would listen. He was threatened and yet he did not quit, plus he uncovered more. This man I want to talk to and know how he figured it out.
Excessive, maybe.”
