“Well of course she does!
Did you forget that she can see Russia from her house!
Can you do that?”
backwoodsliberal on May 22, 2011 at 09:16:32
“Yes, you can.
Actually she said that 'you can see Russia from Alaska.' Her statement is true. The international boundary between Russia and the U.S. runs between Big Diomede Island which belongs to Russia and Little Diomede Island which belongs to the U.S. in the State of Alaska. The islands are about 2.5 miles apart and the residents of each can see the other island, at least on clear days. Unfortunately, Mrs. Palin never visited Little Diomede and therefore never laid eyes on Russia.
But if you follow Mrs. Palin's logic, we have an unexpected boon in international expertise. Mrs. Palin apparently believes that if you can see Russia you are qualified in international affairs. This means that the 170 residents of Little Diomede are a pool of incredible knowledge on the intracacies of Kremlin politics.”

“I flew over Cuba one time. I guess that makes me an international affairs expert.”
“Oh now it all adds up.
Obama Won the Nobel Peace prize for making peace between these two!!!
I wonder what he will win if he ever gets to make peace in the ME.”

“Don't worry. There is an aircraft carrier full of beer heading to the ME as we speak. I am happy about this story because it means that r.acism has officially ended in America. Hurraayyy.”

“A nation's and a world's eternal gratitude...and the satisfaction of knowing he was able to do the job the 52% of the American people hired him to do -- and the job that far too many of those he didn't vote for him are now hoping he fails to succeed at....
Then maybe we'll be able to tell Rush, Glenn, et al to get lost...
But that's "if" he helps bring peace to the middle east...many have tried and many have failed...in Obama's case, however, it won't be, as it has been, for lack of trying, for lack of imagination in the face of history or for alienating the entire region and not giving a damn that he did....”
“It is such a shame. They say you can judge a book by its cover.
Judging from the cover so far, the new president is not bringing the change he has promised, but rather the status quo that Hillary promised.
"If we wanted Hillary we would have voted for her."
Which part of this do they not understand?”

“Although I understand people worried about Clinton retreads, the fact is that there have been no Dems aside from Clinton people in high White House positions since Carter. There is a lot to be said for experience, and most of that experience will be Clintonistas.
Let's not forget the new people he has brought in, including my personal favorite Melody Barnes. She is going to be outstanding.
Give Obama a chance. He will set the policy, these people's job is merely to implement it.”

“This is indeed the Clintons 'third term" ... Smart man ... Obama.”
“Like Colbert said before, Fox News is "Fair and Balanced", they present both the president side and the vice president side of every story.
Sean Hannity will do just fine in presenting both these sides on every issue. Of course it won't be president Obama and VP Biden, but Rather his imaginary president Sarah Palin and VP Joe the Plumber.”
“10 is so few!!!
We need a deck of cards to start with at least.
How could you forget Wolfowitz, Feith, Scooter Libby, Gonzales, Condi Rice, etc.........
I would also throw in Jeb Bush for good measure, lest he may be tempted to run in 2012.”
JScott on Nov 24, 2008 at 12:18:07
“Beat me to it-ONLY 10????
Make that 4 decks of cards.”

“I am disappointed in you democrats. I have always thought that you cherished the opportunity to beat republicans in the arena of ideas..Eliminate Jeb Bush to thwart a run in 2012? I have always held him in high regard...It's comforting to now know that the democrats do as well.
I understand that Obama usually preferred to eliminate his opponents before the debate sarted..”
