“won't happen. He was cleared. Winston will win by a landslide. He could have had 5,000 yards passing easy if he wasn't taken out in the 3rd quarter of every game.”

“The kid is incredibly good, no doubt about it, but it would impress me more if they were moving the ball and hanging points on teams a little more challenging than Bethune-Cookman, Maryland, Wake Forest, and Idaho. I'm curious to see how they'll do against Auburn in comparison.”

“I agree I think he is probably the best candidate but, I do wonder if the voters will be afraid of any "taint" to the Trophy. He was not necessarily cleared, only that no charges would be filed at that time.”
“I would get rid of the polls entirely and go with the 8 conference champions to decide the National Championship. The 4 bowl games as the quarter-finals. The two semi-final games the next week and the National Championship the week after. That way, all conferences would have a chance. Additionally, each conference would have a designated site to host the National Championship game. That way it's not played in the South all the time to make it unfair to the North schools if they are in it.”
“Tax the Rupubs until it hurts. 67% on 200 K or more. The Repubs destroyed the economy with elective invasions.”

“Problem with your plan is in many parts of the country including liberal/Democratic $200K is barely middle class. You saw how fast Obama backed away from his "tax the rich/anyone earning over $250K" scheme when democrats in Congress representing such states as CA, NY, Conn, MA, NJ, etc... said "not so fast there bub".
Finally again persons screaming for high tax rates on the wealthy must first understand how marginal tax rates operate. No one will be paying "67%" on their entire income that is for sure.”
“are you worried about our slow start to games? We were only up on Duke 7-0 at the end of the 1st quarter. Fisher has got to keep these guys focused just like Bobby would.
What are your thoughts? Jeff”

“I did worry about the slow start, but I've realized that's just the team adjusting to the opposing strategy. They figure it out and never look back. I think the Noles adaptability is one of their strengths.”
“Pull for the Noles and not a continuation of wins of the SEC. How is it fair to anyone else? Noles all the way!!!! Proud 84' Meteorologist.of FSU.”

“I'm an Arkansas fan (yea, it's a tough gig) so I gotta to pull for SEC.
Fair? I guess it's fair because this will be the 4th different conference (5th if you count independent Notre Dame) to challenge an SEC team in the title game during this 7 year run. I don't see how anything is unfair if other conferences keep getting chances and don't pull the win.
But like I said. I think FSU will break the streak this year. ”
“clearly you have no recolection of football history. Nebraska in 93' had that same triple opton threat and we slammed the door on them.”
SportyJim on Dec 9, 2013 at 16:12:43
“I see you read the paper today. A last minute field goal to go up 18-16 is not what most people would call slamming the door on some one. I remember watching that game in a bar in Texas with a Nebraska fan (I rooted for FSU, hey, I'm from Pensacola). Once again, I don't think the memory of a victory 20 years ago is going to help you too much, but I wish you and FSU luck and look forward to a great game!”
“you guys are one dimensional. The starsandbars conference is coming to an end.”

“Auburn doesn't bother to throw that much because nobody can stop our run game. It doesn't mean we can't throw. Sammie Coates leads the nation in yards per catch. BTW, Florida was a member of the confederacy, and the capital of Florida (Tallahassee, where FSU is located) was the only confederate capital not captured by the union. Also, what the hell does the confederacy have to do with college football in the 21st century? Is that some lame attempt to discredit the SEC? Do you think you are putting some kind of stain on the SEC?”
“I loved "The Sound of Music" live telecast. I thought the sets were amazing and the production was fantastic. Going straight from the Von Trapp home to the Abbey as example. Stephen Hoyt and the kids were fantastic. Audra McDonald as Mother Superior, what a voice. And I was blown away with Carrie Underwood. Beautiful voice that matched Julie Andrews. I hope there are many more live performances. Maybe bringing back "Peter Pan" (Sandy Duncan did the original live telecast I believe) or Roger and Hammerstein's "Cinderella" (done live by Lesley Ann Warren). Thank you for a real TV treat. It was magnificent. Too bad the critics can't appreciate live TV musicals.”
