At Best, A Baby Step Toward Justice For Bush's Torturers

At Best, A Baby Step Toward Justice For Bush's Torturers

“The reason the Obama administration is reluctant to prosecute Bush admin officials for torture is simple. The democrats are just as culpable in the attrocities. If they were not professional hatchet men like Rahm Emanuel would use the opportunity to destroy the GOP. Politics as usual in DC”

Nancy Pelosi is on record supporting investigations that DO NOT provide immunity from criminal prosecution. Yet at the same time Republicans are pointing fingers, accusing her - While the Republicans on committee are obstructing justice in exactly the same way they are obstructing government. What gives with that? Republicans cannot have it both ways.

I suggest Republicans open an investigation with no immunity, and put Nancy Pelosi under oath as the first witness.

“Domestic violence is an ugly thing that I believe our society abhors. But this is what tightening the belt means in America. The interests of the people are a distant second to the interests of corporate greed. No republican, no democrat that I know of has to courage oppose this.”

“cutting a sector of our population off from help that means the difference between life and death is NOT what "tightening the belt" means.”

“Housing, health care, welfare. All the cuts fall hard on women and kids who can't fight back.
How about cutting programs that serve the wealthy like golf courses, marinas, medical schools,

That would get the interest of the powerful and vocal and politician would be forced to be honest and take sensible action.”

“A coward is more exposed to quarrels than a man of spirit.....Thomas Jefferson

Having said that "health care reform" is a cruel joke being played on the American people. As long as our prostitute politicians take millions in access money from the insurance and pharmicutical lobbies a person would have to be nieve or stupid to expect them to bite the proverbial hand that feeds them. No public option, no negotiations on prescription drug prices, no mandates for insurance carriers. What reform?”

“Do you know what they call lobbyists who give their elected members of government money in the other industrialized nations? Felons. This is the only advanced nation that allows it to happen legally. The Supreme Court created this insanity on a permanent basis by ruling that money is free speech.”
