One cannot blame the Afghan people for the drug trade,perhaps they should grow endive instead ? I am sure they would be happy to do that for the same financial rewards they get for selling drugs.
How can it be taken seriously that we can convince them to produce a crop that will give them much less of a financial return. Would you do that? The morality problem is not with the producer but with the users who obviously have more recreational income then they need.
