“If you are a bad actress and your songs have words like "bathroom polo" "Louisville slugger to both headlights" and your singing is pitchy, I think you should just woman up and say you are not all that instead of bringing Jesus into it.”

“Well said - thanks for the laugh! ...Bathroom polo..- did Taylor I'm-So-Swift write the lyrics to that one for her? haha”
“I liked her so much better before Duets, before she started over-sharing, and honestly, I guess before I really knew much about her other than her voice. Being a country bumpkin and thinking it is cute, shows a lack of awareness.”

“What is wrong with being yourself? She isn't fake enough for you like other stars? Whatever. She is funny and honest and cool. And happy. Gosh. Bitter much?”
“I agree with you. A Christmas Parade intended for Snoopy, Spider Man, etc. is not the place for something like that. It is not a Broadway parade. Sexuality should have no place in a Christmas Parade. Neutral and kid friendly would be great to see. It seems nothing escapes being sexualized these days. I am sick of it. There is a time and place for that type stuff and it is not a Christmas Parade.”

“When it's your parade then you can put whatever you want in it. The Macy's parade has a long history of including Broadway shows. If you want to complain about sexuality in the parade, why aren't you complaining about the scantily clad female dancers and drill teams? Do you also complain about the cheerleading uniforms at football games, or is it just when it's men dressed in a costume you disapprove of?
On a side note: it wasn't a Christmas parade. It was the Thanksgiving day parade. I watched it with my 8 year old son and saw nothing sexual in the performance.”

“Except that you are the one sexualizing the event: I don't know many (any?) people who would look at a number like the one from Kinky Boots and wonder who sleeps with who (nor why it matters, as it's frankly none of our business). What I see is a funny show about getting by in business, with a message of tolerance and that some people are different than others.
A child wouldn't look at this and think anything sexual; it's YOU who is doing that, and that is your problem. Lastly, it's a Thanksgiving Parade, not a Christmas one... and I personally am thankful for individualism, diversity and great musical numbers!”

“I went back and watched it, but couldn't find the sexuality in it anywhere. I saw a bunch of people in costumes singing and dancing. Can you tell me where it is in the video so I can go back and find it, please?”

“Macy's has featured acts B'way shows for the last 30 years. That's a long to time to be sick of something.
The Rockettes = sexualization of women for over 70 years.”

“I don't know why an uplifting song from a play about tolerance, compassion and cooperation would be deemed inappropriate for children.
But then, I like to think that maybe there's a way to raise better people, if the bigots at home won't do it.”
