“I agree that Clinton is just trying to cause trouble, but I believe that her staying in the primary will not matter in the election.
The people who pay a lot of attention to politics already know who they are going to support and there is not much anyone can do about that. The other people who don't really pay attention aren't paying attention to this nonsense going on now, and they will decide after McCain and Obama start debating head to head.
The only ones that are making such a big deal about Clinton's bickering are the media who have gotten everything wrong so far. I am willing to bet that all the predictions made about the long Dem primary hurting the party will be wrong too.
I also would not be surprised that the idea of the long primary being detramental to dems was started by Fox news resulting in an echo by the rest of the media. After all, thats what the media does best; echo the others.”

“I don't feel a longer primary is detrimental to the Dems yet either but it soon will reach that tipping point and it certainly can't continue with the candidates going after each other in a nasty divisive fashion either without negative repercussions in November. If the candidates go on for another month or so attacking John McCain and making their case as the best candidate to beat McCain, that would be a scenario I could put up with for a while longer and would justify Bill Clinton's comments calling on everyone to "chill out." But if the Clintons mean everyone should "Chill out" while they attack Obama and bring up Rev Wright to try and sway Super Delegates, I want the race over with now.
“That wonderful comment from BlackJAC shows that they never spent a minute in the military and just doesn't get it.”

“It's pretty obvious that the whole thing emerged out of the long-standing resentment enlistees have had towards officers since organized warfare was invented. No matter how many decades he's been in and no matter how many rockers are under those three chevrons, he can still be legally ordered to his death by some 22-year-old second lieutenant just three weeks out of OCS or West Point. whose principal experience for the job comes from marathon sessions of "Halo." Consequently, he associates "sir" with that child, hates the image it conjures up, and wants nothing to do with it, so he demands that the guys he outranks call him by his full rank so he can feel some measure of importance in a subculture that's just as hierarchical and class-based as the rest of human society but carries severe legal penalties for forgetting your place.
Your homework assignment is to read THE 48 LAWS OF POWER. Then maybe you'll get it.”
“That is the regular payment for a lawyer to receive on a case like this. It was not all profit for the lawyer. That payment also includes paying for depositions, expert witnesses, scientific analysis and probably more pricey things that I don't know about.”
“I hate walmart more than any other big business. Fortunately, where I live, I have a choice where to shop. That isn't the case in a lot of small towns where this disgusting company has driven out their competitors.
I just wish the people who do have a choice where to shop, choose somewhere else. This corporation is scum. It is everything that is wrong with corporations in this country.
Everyone who doubts this should watch the documentary "Walmart: The High Cost of Low Prices" and you will learn about the real wally world.”
“Three problems with that statement. One: the ones who cheer for the president think that by being the loudest that makes them right. Two: it is much easier to yell loud cheers than to yell a loud boo. Third: I am sure there were people in the crowd who don't like him that were either silent or too ashamed to boo because of what the loud cheerers would think of them if they booed.”

“OK, I agree with all of them except one. . . .the baby wipe warmer. Sorry, but when you have a new born you try not to agitate them with a cold wipe on their bum. The wipes get really cold (especially when you conserve oil in the winter and keep the heat down). It's not really for the baby, but for the mother's sanity to keep the little one from making every diaper change difficult. Also, when you buying renewable electricity you should be able to use electricity without getting ridiculed for it.”

“So warm them in your hands. This has worked well for me with 2 babies. And no waste of the 20 or 10 wipes at the bottom of the box.”

“Except that their warm, dark, dampness have created the perfect environment for bacterial growth. Have fun infecting your baby's nethers with an awesome skin condition! Read any parenting magazine and you will find this information. Plain and simple its not good.”
“BO is a silly child with a big mouth. The things he says are truly ridiculous and anyone that pays attention to real news knows that. Unfortunately anybody that opposes him doesn't get far because he has the biggest platform. It really is sad that our media is in this position right now where truth doesn't matter, it's who yells the loudest that gets heard and believed. I think Arianna needs to yell louder.”

“When talking about Bill O'really, please spell out his name, or at least Bill O or something to the likes.......nowadays too many people associate BO to Barack Obama......just a suggestion.”

“Wow. Think of this show promo except insert African-Americans instead of Italian-Americans.
Would it be okay for MTV to refer to A-A's by their racial stereotype (even though some call themselves and each other by that word)?
Exchange all of the other descriptions with certian A-A culture -- "some of the hottest, darkest (insert slur)... keep their hair fro'ed, and free-style rapping all summer long"
That would never be tolerated by anyone. I don't know how MTV can justify their disgusting slurs against I-A's especially when compared to what the result would be if it were any other ethnic group.”

“'Guido' is not used as an ethnic slur, but a derogatory term for a subculture (although also used by that subculture). See also: bros and hipsters.”
“Since you are picking on people's grammar, you should note that a lot is always two words, not one. Your whole comment was poorly formed, so you shouldn't be critical of other people's choice of words.”
“When someone is trying to take your gun, they are going to shoot you. Lethal force seems absolutely necessary when someone who just hit you and punched you is now trying to take your gun. I doubt the officer was trying to kill the man, but he wasn't about to be the one getting killed.”
ReasonIsMyReligion on Jul 13, 2009 at 15:04:26
“Or, trying to keep YOU from shooting THEM.
I'd say the bigger onus is on the one who brought the gun TO the incident.
We may both be reading too much between the lines.”

“I respectfully think you should read the article again. I am not agreeing or disagreeing with what is said in the article, but you must have skipped over these sentences.
"While ingredients like aluminum, mercury, ether, formaldehyde and anti-freeze may help preserve and enhance vaccines, they can be toxic as well. The assortment of viruses delivered by multiple immunizations may also be a hazard."
I read the article and was not under the impression that Jim was trying to blame mercury in and of itself, but that this issue needs to be further looked at and studied before closing the case. I do agree with that. Scientific research is needed to see how these vaccines (and all of those preservative ingredients) interact in a baby's body. And research needs to be done to evaluate whether the schedule is harmful and whether some of the federally recommended (mandatory in some states) are necessary, ie. chicken pox and flu.”
“I guess good music is subject to opinion; however, eminem is a rap genius. This song sucks, but he knows that. He purposely releases the most annoying song that he thinks will get air-time first from his album.
I am not a fan of most rap music, but I do enjoy eminem. He was rapping about Bush sucking way before it was a mainstream idea. And the way he comes up with the rhymes in his songs is something to marvel at whether or not you enjoy his music or any rap music for that matter.
I don't like eminem as a person, but I have a lot of respect for his work and I might consider buying the album once I hear more.”
