“This is called "Yellow Journalism". Great timing!”

No, it is called History and Research. The newsletters EXIST in libraries; the words are published in newsletters titled:
-Ron Paul's Freedom Report
-Ron Paul Political Report
-The Ron Paul Survival Report
-The Ron Paul Investment Letter”
By the way, he has never voted to spend 1 penny out of the social security fund as a congressman. The big reason social security is broken is because they spend it on unconstitutional wars and other silly things.”
“You bet your bottom dollar these "progressives" will have no problem supporting neocon Hillary and her Fox news buddies. Despite appearances, most "progressives" are partisans who, when push comes to shove, are only interested in progressive bureaucracy. Ron Paul is the only candidate who has a chance of stopping private international banking interests, via the Fed and CFR, from robbing the american people-- ending the state war machine, the war on terror, the war on drugs and warrantless spying. All these other "progressive" causes are mere wedge issues at this point.
“MR. RUSSERT: So you think we're close to fascism?
REP. PAUL: I think we're approaching it very close. One--there's one, there's one documentary that's been put out recently that has generated a lot of interest called "Freedom to Fascism." And we're moving in that direction. Were not moving toward Hitler-type fascism, but we're moving toward a softer fascism. Loss of civil liberties, corporations running the show, big government in bed with big business. So you have the military industrial complex, you have the medical industrial complex, you have the financial industry, you have the communications industry. They go to Washington and spend hundreds of millions of dollars. That's where the control is. I call that a soft form of fascism, something that is very dangerous.”
“I figured this little bit of the interview might interest the Huffpost community, not the Civil War that happened a very long time ago.
MR. RUSSERT: But let me go back to this ad. You do not believe that Mike Huckabee, that ad commercial represents the potential of fascism in the form of a cross.
REP. PAUL: No. But I think this country, a movement in the last 100 years, is moving toward fascism. Fascism today, the softer term, because people have different definition of fascism, is corporatism when the military industrial complex runs the show, when the--in the name of security pay--pass the Patriot Act. You don't vote for it, you know, you're not patriotic America. If you don't support the troops and you don't support--if you don't support the war you don't support the troops. It's that kind of antagonism. But we have more corporatism and more abuse of our civil liberties, more loss of our privacy, national ID cards, all this stuff coming has a fascist tone to it. And the country's moving in that direction. That's what I'm thinking about. This was not personalized. I never even used my opponents names if you, if you notice.”
“The neoconservatives are getting very scared. The political class, the punditocracy, the AIPACers, the PNACers, the financial elites of the Federal Reserve System, the entire military-industrial-congressional complex---all are wondering right about now if Paul's support might just be real and substantial. My advice to Ron Paul, whom I love as a fellow patriot, is to watch his back very, very carefully. He has ignited a spark that is going to erupt into a raging, purging fire that will race over the political landscape. HuffPosters, the era of partisan politics is over, you have to start looking at first principles again and support a man of integrity who understands the limitations of government. There is a reason that Paul's R3VOLUTION logo has hit a resonating chord---love for the rights of the individual is the bedrock on which to found a civil society. Divisiveness is the realm of old-style politics. The young of today understand this intuitively and are flocking to his support.”

“I wonder how many family members of Kristal are serving in the military and Irag. Considering there is no war he doesn't want our troops to fight and die in.”

“So? Who listens to "liver-lips" anymore except the most brain-dead of people?”
“John, I share your same sentiments about the Iraq war. That was the platform they ran and won on with hard work from people like yourself.
I am happy you have found a candidate in John Edwards that you trust, but I have actually found my outlet and hope to end this war in Congressman Ron Paul's presidential campaign. Even though he is a Republican, I find strategically he is the best choice. You have to ask yourself, who would end the war faster if elected Ron Paul or Hillary/Obama? (I think Edwards may have the guts to do it, but I find his odds longer than Ron Paul's)
I hope the Democrats can pick a true antiwar leader for president, but the chances are getting slimmer by the day. By the time the primaries hit my state on Feb. 5th I'll be picking the most honest voice that will bring 'em home.”

You raise a great point. I know Hillary Clinton is ahead in the "national" polls, but I don't know many people at all who are going to vote for her, especially in the Democratic base.
This will be an interesting primary.
Thanks for your reply.

“If you want to eliminate ALL government functions EXCEPT making war and guarding the borders by all means vote for Ron Paul, but don't go looking for FEMA if there's a disaster in your area. Don't expect funding for your schools or anything else. This is a guy who wants to leave abortion "up to the states," preferably illegal with no exceptions in as many states as possible, and who voted against the renewal of the Civil Rights Act. (But then of course, since according to him blacks are "unbelievably fleet-footed," I'm sure they'll have no trouble outrunning the lynch mobs.)
“I hope he goes nuc-le-ar against these other Bush-bots. They have so many weaknesses and the American people hate them as a whole. I hope the Repubs are smart enough to realize that only Paul could beat a Democrat in this cycle. (Unless the raise the terror level....again -haha)”
“Can you please present a better option than Paul? Apparently Edwards, Obama, and Hillary will keep us in the Iraq mess until 2013. The sad thing is our country would be bankrupt way before then at the current rate of 12-13 BILLION a year.”
