What Conservatives Really Want

Commented Feb 23, 2011 at 13:17:27 in Politics

“Very well said, the left will always say corporate control=evil, governement control=good. I suggest they move to Cuba and see just how good it really is. There must be a balance, neither side will make the right decision on their own.”

Hobay on Feb 23, 2011 at 15:36:29

“Friend, you have really summed up the fallacious arguments against "the left" succinctly, and revealed a deep misunderstanding of the subject. Bravo, sir!”

ebranson on Feb 23, 2011 at 13:45:15

“Actually, the average standard of living in terms of health, goods, and safety is higher in Cuba than in comparatively sized Caribbean and Central American countries. You should go sometime. Then go to Nicaragua or Jamaica or Honduras. The Cubans are much better off.”

Is Barack Obama Stupid?

Commented Dec 10, 2010 at 16:21:15 in Politics

“My wife and I make barely more than $250k, and we do so because we both work day jobs and started a company. It is relentlessly tiring doing two full-time jobs but, I know if I want to get ahead I have to make it happen. Nobody is going to do it for me. As for the increase in taxes, I actually think they should expire the tax cuts. I think controlling spending would be a better way but, that will never happen with the pathetic leadership we now have in controll, and this country is hurting too bad to continue this out of control deficit. However, I think it should include all tax cuts. Why should one group pay for this whole thing while the other group gets all the benefits? If they do expire the tax cuts, I will either quit my day job or close my company. I will not continue to work this hard just to give it all away. However, I will put my conutry first and pay my fair share without complaint. Ironically, it is the middle class tax cut that will reduce America's tax base the most, is the middle class willing to do the same? I also agree with craigmak that being wealthy doesn't mean you are smart but, it does mean you are willing to work for what you get.”

“If you don't turn power back over to the Rs, you can count on more of the same garbage legislation that has come out in the last two years... that is with no concern for what Americans really want... just more redistribution of America's wealth to other countries. Obama will continue to stick it to the middle class while claiming that is the very class he is for.”

afram1 on Oct 13, 2010 at 02:35:55

“Suffice it to say I disagree with your position.

I believe this president is doing the best that he can with a country that nearly was flushed in the toilet, and also the inconvenient truth that he works within a reality where corporations already have this country bought and sold.

I only expected him to be president, not a savior. He's only one man. You want change, be about it...but it ain't gonna come from those Rs.”

“Just another ploy by Obama to distract from the disasterous legislation he has passed and is slowly sapping America of any hope of economic recovery.”

“I have to give Obama credit where credit is due. He is an absolutely brilliant spin doctor! He can take any issue he wants and spin it in a way to make it look like he is doing something to help, all the while achieving his goal to redistribute American wealth to the rest of the world. Most importantly, he seems to be able to make Americans (especially congress) believe his rhetoric and follow his goals. If America doesn’t wake up to the lies, we will soon find ourselves in a situation far worse than anything we have seen so far. WAKE UP AMERICA!”

“'' WAKE UP AMERICA!''

Surprise! We already did. On Nov. 4th, 2008. Wait till 2012. You ain't seen nothin' yet pal. You might want to take your own advice.”

“Bush sent $10 Billion to Pakistan ,calling the Pakis "our allis". Guess what : The same "allies" are stabbing us in the back. Our enemies are harbored there and nothing good has come out of there. And the bloody GOP will not even support unemployment insurance for hard up AMERICAN workers?
Talk about redistributing wealth.”

I AM AN EXIT on Oct 1, 2010 at 10:18:18

“I love how you people just say that they are lies without any facts. I love how you say redistribution without any facts. You just spit out talking points and keep drinking kool-aid. He doesn't want jobs going over seas. Corporations do so they can legally use slaves to widen their profit margins because the slaves they bought here for 7 dollars an hour are too expensive. You want to support American jobs, get informed about the products you purchase instead of mindlessly attacking a president who would like to tax businesses that leave the country and cut tax for those who stay while the republicans just want to reward everyone making millions of dollars, no matter who they are ruining in the process.”

“How is the President trying to redistribute American wealth to the rest of the world?
Do you have a credible link?”

Jupitersky on Sep 30, 2010 at 18:24:51

“Yep Obama is the danger. Nevermind that GWB lied and took us in to war unjustly that robbed tax payers killed tens of thousands of people while enriching his privateer friends.

So what has Obama done? Please name it. Tell me how he's working to redistribute wealth to other countries?? What about the legislative vicotries he's had?? Who all went along with them?

What are his goals??

Joe, may I call you Joe- I find the rhetoric is coming from you. I find you're not paying attention to what's really going on. We have the greatest disparity between the rich and the poor this country has ever seen and you're talking about redistributing wealth. It already happened- the rich got wealthier while the poor got poorer. Americas wealth has been systematically given to the wealthiest americans.”

Exposing Glenn Beck as a Dangerous Fraud

Commented Apr 12, 2010 at 10:46:33 in Media

“Although I certainly don't endorse Beck, I think you have purposely chosen to ignore that he and his kind do offer positives as well. For one, he is not dangerous as you stated because anyone with a brain knows to scrutinize his every word. In other words he is far less dangerous because you know he is lying. Contrast that to a liar like Obama who through his carefully articulated speeches can convice people that he is telling the truth when he actually has no intention of following through with what he has stated. I think Beck is far less a concern. Furthermore, there is a benefit to hearing both sides of any story. Since the mainstream media refuses to offer any news that would go against their pet president, it is even more important that these other veiws be offered. The source and even the accuracy is not important. What is important is that we have people like this to give people a kick in the pants and start them to thinking about the other side for themselves.”

“This is rediculous. I am not the least bit overweight but I still feel cramped in these crappy seats. For all those who complained about the overweight people sitting next to them, get over yourself. I like what Jackeiro said about the screaming kids. Perhaps we should charge extra for anyone who farts as well. What about me! What about me! I suppose I shouldn't have to pay school taxes since I don't have any kids! I will be using another carrier.”
