Do you mean you buy products because of WHO endorses or promotes them; thus, allowing you all-access to their private lives from then on? Is that what you mean by . . . ' I have already paid to see the spectacle by buying his products. Show me more." ?

If that's what you mean, that's more than a little silly.”

“"I couldn't care less about what we owe them now" - There's your problem. No personal responsiblity. Now what would the world be like if everyone acted like you?”

Cheryl2 replied on Dec 03, 2009 at 15:56:43

“They are abusing them with the interest rates. His rates like mine probably went up to 30% when he was paying the debt as contracted. They did not hold up to their end why should we? It is time the banks get abused back. Go Danderu!”

Michael Albright replied on Dec 03, 2009 at 15:49:11

“I don't blame the guy. My rates were moved into default for no reason other than their fine print rules. I never had a late payment or missed a payment in over twenty years of perfect credit history. I just ran my balances up to within $1700 of my spending limit while in between jobs. Had to pay rent, food, gas, utilities with my cards for a bit. What is the point of setting a credit limit if they penalize you for merely approaching it. Didn't make sense nor would they discuss reducing my rates. They made the bills unpayable (99% interest) so I quit paying them. I will file chapter 7 and not feel any guilt over it. I will no longer play by the rules in the future, there is nothing to be gained by being "responsible" these days. To be honest, I sincerely wish for the US to collapse economically. I can hunt, fish, camp in the woods, but can a wall street banker survive with worthless money and an empty grocery store?”

JA01 replied on Dec 03, 2009 at 15:23:09

“These are people who used to pay their bills but lost their jobs. Companies have been laying off people for years saying they need to cut back, yet increase the salaries of their senior executives and CEO, year after year.
Don't you think that's a problem? How stupid is that to hike someone's interest rate when he's in a tough spot.

If you can't pay at 10% interest, what makes one think you can at 30%?

Wrong choice of words? Maybe.

Give the guy a break.”
