“so....then what you're saying is that lower court judges aren't qualified? that's profoundly stupid. thank you for reaffirming why it is that one should not have children with close family relatives.”
“because cousin, repubs, no matter what they like to say in public, hold racist views, or views underpinned by racist ideologies. they love their traditions, and what traditions made the US great? the exploitation and destruction of its natives.”
“conversation!? HAH. again sir, i say HAH! I am far beyond mere 'conversation'! i have now been driven so far as to use SARCASM, and even DERISION! you sir, are no true militant atheist! i strike fear into the hearts of...my daugh- wait, not them either. damn.”
“it always has been a cruel, heartless place full of fear, but because it used to ONLY happen to blacks, hispanics and other minorities, no one gave a $h!t. now that it's crept up into the "middle class" (read 'white' America), does anyone care.”
“"You are missing the point here. But I am sue [sic] that is intentional." AGREED. the law isn't there so that "workers and families and people across the country feel a little better. " it's there to PROHIBIT the gov't. from establishing (which is to say supporting or endorsing) any religion”
“"The people atheists are worried about are ironically the people with the most faith in God." well yes, brainiac. the reason we worry is BECAUSE you have the most faith in god-- let's not be coy: suicide bombers have THAT kind of faith.”
“WRONG on both counts. god is in fact, a fictional character, like zeus or thor, and faith is the abdication of reason. this isn't even up for discussion. when you or anyone else can provide EVIDENCE for the existence of a deity, actual, scientifically verifiable test results, LIKE EVERY OTHER CLAIM IS REQUIRED TO, then you won't just be using circular arguments.”

“The universe is rational. Rationality existed before the world. It is eternal and incorruptible.
If you believe those statements, you believe in God.
As for our disagreement about faith:
Words tend to have a variety of definitions. If the object of someone's faith is irrational, that is not the kind of faith I am talking about.
Proper faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
“yeah. a small percentage. that's it. it's not almost entirely composed of white christian conservatives b/c they're largely racist. it's fiscal policy!!!! yeah. if that lets you sleep at night. sure. let's go with that. i'm sure someone will believe it.”
“now that we know ppl harm each other all time (something which you were apparently unaware of), go ahead and tell me, with a straight face that it has NEVER occurred where some pagan has used some religious reason to harm another human being EVER. in the whole of human history.
the burden of proof isn't on me, since i'm not making some wild assertion ON BEHALF OF EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER PRACTICED A PARTICULAR RELIGION--which is what you're doing. you're saying that no pagan has ever harmed anyone "in the name of religion" b/c YOU haven't done that. if you don't see how that shifts the burden of proof to you, b/c ur claim is ridiculously incredible, i won't help you.
AND BY THE WAY: you've offered zero proof that you've never harmed anyone in the name of your religion. not one iota of evidence. thank you for that.

“So go ahead and tell me that no atheist, has ever had cause to harm another, because of religious oppression. Go ahead, with a straight face.
Has any pagan ever harm anyone in the history of existence? Yeah, so has just about every other group in existence. So? Paganism of a century ago is NOT paganism of today. Should I hold you guilty for the grievances of everything your ancestors did? Accuse you of being just like them because you belong to the same group?
You horrible American! You helped cause the revolutionary war!!!!!
Yeah, seriously doesn't work.
Also paganism is an umbrella term, it covers several religions, historically speaking it was anything except Christianity. So again, that doesn't mean anything about -my- religion.
And yeah, burden of proof is on you. I cannot, by logic, prove that I have never hurt anyone in the name of my religion. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO PROVE A NEGATIVE. The burden of proof is on YOU for making the statement. You have to prove that a member of my specific religion, of every religion on the planet too, has hurt someone in the name of religion.
How am I to prove I've never hurt anyone? Anecdotes that you won't even believe? Here, prove to me that you've never hurt anyone, ever, can you do it? It's an IMPOSSIBLE standard of evidence. Literally impossible.
Learn some science, learn some logic, and stop assuming.”
