What is 'significant'? That's a personal value judgment, not a rational consideration. If I choose to believe that an impersonal god who doesn't view my short sentient existence as universally significant is, itself, very significant because that god is the motivating action in the universe, then I have an equally valid personal value judgment.

Your statements seem to reject the existence of matter and energy, its apparent nature, and its consistent quantum principles. Does that mean that there is some kind of god; not any specific human-engineered god, but a god which fits most of the classic criteria nonetheless? Not at all; but it also means there very well could be such a god. We don't have enough evidence to know one way or the other and the argument that there is no reason to think about the realities because there is no evidence for a god is simply not really valid. There is evidence of an organizing principle we don't yet understand...and that WOULD be a god. Not necessarily a personal god, but a real god of the universe...a sort of neo-pantheist god.”

Maybe, maybe not. We have zero information to support a worthy theory but quantum physics tends to support the concept that there could be a single principle (unless the laws of physics are different in other universes). That single principle, if one chooses to think that it's god, may not be all-knowing or even particularly interested in your personal life (which can, to be sure, be thought of as mold on a planetary cheeseball), but it sure is consistent in our universe.

Further, what is one? Is it one atom, one electron, one proton, one quark, one...etc. Maybe 'One' is everything there is, and everything which there is happens to be the 'engine' of the material universe, both producing and maintaining that universe continuously.

No evidence worth theorizing about; but if god is in everything in our universe on a moment to moment basis, then it could be infinite.

Again, no evidence. If a god - one or more - exists in the basic structure of matter and energy as we know it then it could be eternal...or not.”

Humans seem to be the only creatures that treat their dead as if they still have a presence in our lives, by ritual reminders. We may bring them gifts, favorite food for instance, but we're not shocked or disappointed when our departed ones don't actually get up and eat it.”
