“If he kept the head or tusks I would say he is an AH. But it seemed like someone was going to have to shoot the elephants, the gov got a hunting fee from him, and the villagers got the meat.
If the villagers & gov were happy with the results who are we to tell them they are wrong?”

“All the politicians take money from corporations. I wish we could stop that, but we can't.
While we are debating trivial things like our Congress, the real powers are at work deciding the future of America, like when the North American Union (NAU) will begin. (That is why neither party will enforce the borders. In fact, they are trying to erase them.)

We need to think about the end game, the two parties that are constantly "fighting" are merely distractions for us. Do you really think there was much difference between McCain and Obama?”

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) failed to break a weeks-long GOP filibuster of small-business jobs legislation...Every member of the Democratic caucus opposed the GOP filibuster, and every Republican voted to kill the bill.
In a display that can best be described as insane, Senate Republicans demanded all week that the chamber act on the small-business-incentives measure, and not waste time with measures like campaign-finance reform. “Yes, the big mallet that Boehner GAVE to Pelosi to hand to him in the ceremonial handing over of the gavel. Each Speaker chooses and uses their own gavel.  That was not the gavel Pelosi used - she even remarked that it was the gavel Boehner had chosen for himself when she handed it over.”

If the Reeps were genuinely interested in this agenda, they could have pursued it last year, rather than obstructing progress in the hope of cashing in at the ballot box:
SENATE REPUBLICANS BLOCK BILL SUPPORTING SMALL BUSINESSES.... It seems like the kind of bill that should pass pretty easily. As the job market continues to struggle, Democrats have proposed a package to aid small businesses, including tax breaks, new incentives, and an attempt to expand credit through a lending program that utilizes local banks.

Bio-Remediation or Bio-Hazard? Dispersants, Bacteria and Illness in the Gulf

Bio-Remediation or Bio-Hazard? Dispersants, Bacteria and Illness in the Gulf

Commented Sep 18, 2010 at 23:16:06 in Green

“So "dispersent chemicals which are known to contain solvents, adds to the toxic level of the spilled petroleum." and you are "convinced that the oil spill has produced this health insult." Wow, that is real science and investigative research.

Now here is a paper presented by the US Coast Guard on dispersants. They state: "Over time, however, dispersants were formulated to be less toxic. The toxicity derived from dispersing oil is primarily caused by the dispersed oil itself and not the chemical dispersants." (p 3)
http://www.iosc.org/papers/IOSC%202005%20a444.pdf

I hate to see people injured and scarred like the pictures show, but there are hundreds of things that could cause them. We should be gathering data, and let science take us where ever it leads. Besides that, if anyone is reasonable, we will need scientific proof to hold them accountable in court.”

aligatorhardt on Sep 19, 2010 at 10:32:52

“Mr. Banner, I am stating my opinion. I do not claim to have an airtight case suitable for a courthouse win. I don't need that level of proof to form an opinion on the matter. I am not confident in the storyline projected by vested interests, such as the ones from coporate controled government agencies. They have failed to do their duty to protect public health. The denial of adverse health effects is contrary to previous experiences with these toxic materials. The timing of these effects cannot be denied. I remain convinced that my stated remarks are worthy. You are entitled to your own opinion.”

ali schmidt on Sep 19, 2010 at 09:24:37

“John,

I respect your opinion but i have a question. Did you read the links associated with the article? The link describing Alcanivorax Borkumensis explains step by step, how the gene was sequenced and how it was genetically modified or bio-engineered.

The link to MRSA explains how this bacteria can cause infections such as MRSA to infect the skin. .Furthermore, we know that biofilms are rapidly colonized by other gram negative bacteria, some of them being the most antibiotic resistant microbes known to man, and they have the ability to infect humans.

This explains why we are seeing a multitude of varying symptoms reported from the gulf.
Some have complained of serious respiratory problems, some are suffering with GI symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and blood in the stools. Others have these very ugly skin infections that have tested positive for MRSA.

The data is there, it is a matter of connecting the dots.

Thanks,
Ali”

“A paper by the US Coast Guard? The same people who allowed BP to spray millions of gallons of toxicants on the surface of the Gulf and directed millions of gallons at the well-head even thought the EPA told them to desist because they didn't know what effect it might have? The same people who allowd bacteria to be added to the Gulf waters? Those people?! Yes, I would trust their asessment of the situation!
Here is an overview of the product produced by two aquatic biochemists who studied the effects of Corexit for Exxon before the Gulf Disaster. One of the "attributes" of Corexit is that its effects cannot be measured (blamed) as, in water, it is "nondetectable within hours." How nice for them. http://www.iosc.org/papers/00020.pdf. Another search would tell you this product's effect on the skin of fish is that it causes sores.

I have not researched the effects of the bacteria they added to the water. If it is capable of eating crude oil, imagine what effect it could have on fish and humans.

I, too, would prefer if I did not have to think about these things. But hiding from them is not reality and to put your trust in the very agencies and companies that created and allowed this, is not intelligent.”

Robin Young on Sep 19, 2010 at 06:43:01

“The data is being gathered, has beeen and there is lots to back up her article and we get more cases every day. Do not be fooled by anything the Coast Guard puts out.”

“If you think the amount of dispersement that was added isn't going to have any effect on the gulf you're just ignorant or f00lish.

There are reports of dispersement still being dumped in the gulf.”
