“West Virginia voted for the white guy? SHOCKING.”

“As a West Virginian, I take offense to this. While I'm an Obama supporter and don't agree with my state's choice, I want to set you straight. My state's choice had everything to do with coal, not race.”
“to quote the blurb about Arthur Bryant's "Today his tradition remains and the classic tomato-molasses sauce, said to be so thick it can be eaten like jam on toast, continues to bring in people in."
NONE of Arthur Bryant's sauces contain molasses, only one (Rich & Spicy) even has brown sugar. The original sauce, has just a little sugar, not that you can taste it. It's known for being a unique sauce that isn't very sweet at all. If you had ever visited the place and tasted the sauce, you would know this. I'm just sayin'”

“I tried to post this earlier, but it didn't get through for some reason.
I can't stand when KC BBQ is equated with that KC Masterpiece nonsense. That stuff is terrible and doesn't represent KC style at all.
I totally agree: Bryant's has no molasses. It's not thick in any sense of the word. Neither is most KC-style sauce.”

“Amen! Tried it for the first time a couple of months ago and loved it...which is sad for a long time KC resident! They are tied with Oklahoma Joe's for me - with Gates a distant third.”
