Michele Bachmann Calls Occupy Wall Street Protesters Who Disrupted Speech 'Ignorant,' 'Disrespectful'

Michele Bachmann Calls Occupy Wall Street Protesters Who Disrupted Speech 'Ignorant,' 'Disrespectful'

Commented Nov 13, 2011 at 17:27:50 in Politics

“Michele said: “They haven't been told what was done for them, and that's what's a shame, and I think that as soon as they would know, if they understood the heavy price that was paid for that First Amendment right, they'd be much more respectful."

My questions are: What haven’t we been told? Why haven’t we been told it? Have we not been given the same history books as her? Or, perhaps she is an immortal and was alive back when the “heavy price was paid”? The fact of the matter is, we shouldn’t have had to pay a heavy price for the right to speak in the first place. We only had to fight for the right to speak because greedy controlling tyrants made laws against it. That’s why it’s called the “right” to speak, not the “privilege” to speak. The evil responsible for that trespass is the same evil responsible for the inequality occurring now, which motivated the Occupy Wall Street movement. Perhaps she is the ignorant one.”
