“One serious problem Democrats in Congress have is that they don't react the way rightwingers do, and did, thruout the Bush years... Whenever ANYONE, no matter how remote, made what was deemed an inappropriate remark about Bush, the wingers were out there pouncing on and challenging Democrats to DENOUNCE the speaker of said remark. This doesn't happen with the Dems... they couldn't even be bothered to point to the vitriol spewed by the hate mongers who got a doctor who happened to perform late term abortions assassinated. Why expect them to react to anything of note?”

Their decision to deny him an honorary degree is ludicrous and insulting to the Office of the Presidency, the American people and President Obama himself. If they did not feel he was worthy of their honorary degree, they should not have invited him to speak at their commencement.”
