“If you are using policy choices to rate him as great, then I might suggest you consider this.
During the civil rights movement resources were plentiful, the world was not as populated and we were clueless as to the impact we were having on the world at large.
Today we have depleting resources, more people fighting over them and now we are poisoning our water supply to extract gas out of shale rock all across North America.
In my mind, they are playing the same issue as the repubs do during elections. Whip people up with issues that all voters can understand and leave the complex and more important issues to no one.
Sadly, the media we report on every word said, talk it up and keep us all talking and arguing over who we can love and rightfully spend our lives with. I don't discount the issue of gay marriage..but if the president elect and his veep suggest it is the issue of the day, we are done for.”
“If you listen to his past speech, he spoke about all those rich people offering endowments for those wanting to go to secondary school. The libertarian thinks people will be more humanitarian if they have more money in their wallet. They also build their own private roads to and from their home and offices...and get their own police and fire service....
“How on earth has rape become a grey area for the police?
How/why are today's kids forwarding this content along?
Why are our sons doing this?
Why are our daughters piling on and bullying the victim?
Where is our humanity?
Can we draw lines between Rap songs that promote date rape drugs?
Can we point to pornography that degrades and devalues young women?
Can we point to commercial interests that push the boundaries of what shocks us and dulls us the next time we see something worse?
Can we point to letting strangers shape our kids through the distribution of content through social media?
Can we point to ourselves and our own pursuit of Happine$$ that we lost site of parenting and community building?
I just have to wonder, does the sum of all these possible reasons offer any kind of explanation as to why these horrific things are happening?”
Rewrite Sharepoint and make it look like Yammer.
Total cost? Less than a million in salary.

“If you have ever worked deeply with SharePoint you would know that it would take way more than a million in salaries to match the features of Yammer in any compelling and meaningful way. As a matter of fact, SharePoint's architecture is a perfect example of why Microsoft must go to the market and purchase an established company. I do not believe that the culture within Microsoft could allow the hiring an management of a team capable of developing a Yammer like service. Microsoft's forte is pushing reasonable decent produces down their extensive channel. They are not know for their creativity, customer focus or fineness.”
“This is only going to get worse. People insist on free software (by voting with their fingers), yet software developers in their basement need to eat. Apple will keep refunding these on a one off basis, but I highly doubt this will change a thing.”
“Oh my, if this thread actually takes flight and becomes a national story in the news cycle, then this country is officially doomed.
This story is the epitome of arranging deck chairs on the Titanic in the final hours.”

“Pefect analogy and observation. He has punted his only play left in the game. Interesting though he has not enough honor or respect for himself to end his campaign in a manner of self respect.
I suppose after looking back at republicant performance in government that this falls in line with their style of governance . Point fingers at the other guy and never accept responsibility for your actions.”

“Thread takes flight? Where have you been... 207 pages of comments already at the time I am posting my comment...”
