No Difference Between President Obama and Candidate Obama

“I wish I really was that special however, there is nothing insightful about learning about the candidate you plan to vote for.”

“Well done! You get the KMan1's Pick. Bless you for taking the time to care enough to correct the outright lying. Personally I don't care enough to do it. I stop taking anyone seriously when they start suggesting that the president has done nothing. That little phrase makes it clear that they have no intentions on being honest about the subject.”

No Difference Between President Obama and Candidate Obama

Commented Nov 03, 2009 at 17:34:39 in Politics

“Well Mr. Plouffe you and I know that and anyone who actually listened to what he had to say knows that. However, some of his supporters apparently had no idea who they voted for and now they are blaming him for their ignorance.”

IDIOTA replied on Nov 03, 2009 at 18:12:45

“I know that I did not vote for the Messiah. I was not expecting miracles, and I was perplexed as to why there was so much inaugural celebrating given the heaping mess Bush 43 left behind for Obama to fix.

But the President is not displaying leadership in the health care debate. If the WH is working hard on the health care issue, then what is the evidence of that? Is it that the WH is working hard to dismantle health care legislation?

Why do I have to ask?

I keep hearing, "Be patient." When you see a car rolling towards the cliff's edge it's hard to be patient.”

howdyfromtexas replied on Nov 03, 2009 at 18:04:25

“Don't worry, they aren't stupid enough to vote for him again, then again Bush got a second term”

Solja replied on Nov 03, 2009 at 17:49:03

“Exactly.

The media said from the very beginning that people's hopes were too high. Now, we are seeing the outcome of that false hope. He was never Superman, even though some believed he was. He has done more than I expected in his first year, and I too expect a lot from him, but over his entire Presidency (which I see as being 8 years), not before his first year.”

“Apparently no one noticed the rather large fire ball coming out of the White House for all those years.
Many of these same posters either voted him back in or even worse, they didn’t vote at all. Now, after years of inaction on their part they want the mess they help create fixed 6 months ago. If their disingenuous BS whining didn’t have serious ramifications it would be funny.”

intelliwoman replied on Nov 03, 2009 at 11:21:38

“he has gotten nothing of importance to me, and he has had no backbone on the health insurance issue.

Millions of us are still without, have no access to healthcare at all, and will have nonoe under the current bills.

He has not stood up in any way on this issue, and I am very disappointed. He continues to act like a meditor instead of a leader.”

“So, now that it seems that majority is no longer buying that the "Public option is dead" we have moved on to “The great Obama conspiracy to kill public option." Of course once the president signs the first National Health care bill in this country’s history, we will see little gems like “he never really wanted it anyway” and “All the reasons why Obama doesn’t deserve any credit.”

Long analysis based on judgment or opinion on the day unexpected yet actually POSITIVE news stories hits, are always suspect to me.”

“How exactly is the president going to MAKE congress write legislation? There is no reason for Congress to fear the president, he just does not have that kind of power over them. The only thing congress is affarid of is knowledgable constituents that don't fall for the"we need the president to lead" lie.”

“Congress doesn't need to have Obama hold their hands. Unless of course they need him to lead them to their desks, sit them down, and show them how to write legislation. Stop falling for the "we need the president to lead" excuse from Reid and others. The president does not write legislation, that is the job of the congress. Start demanding that congress do their jobs.”

“Cavallucci, he is no longer in the “alleged" stage because he has already pled to reduced charges (which was a gift that he didn’t deserve IMO.) Running to Paris for 30+ years is not considered time served in the United States…or anywhere else for that matter. So tell me, since you believe going after him is a wasted endeavor, what should be his punishment for breaking this country's laws?”
