If you're going to hold Obama/Biden responsible for NOT saving Corzine, then Bush is responsible for not saving all of the GOP govs and senators who lost for the last eight years, yes?
That's FAIR, yes????
Let's see if you have the guts to reply.”

Why Are Doctors Selling Out to Coke?

“What HYPOCRISY from a medical group that USED to be above being bought.
In fact, when the American Heart Assoc allowed food companies to use it's "seal of nutrition approvalL" for heart smart foods, family practitioners were among the first to shriek that "sugary cereals" could get the Heart mark if they were whole grain, etc.
NOW the AAFP is endorsing Coke -- the stuff that can dissolve a nail after a couple of hours?
Yup -- money talks.
The only group with any integrity left seems to the AAP. American Academy of Pediatrics.
I always thought that it was telling that all the medical groups show their true colors via their name -- American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Surgeons, etc. These are groups of, for and about the DOCTORS.
AAP is the American Academy of Pediatrics, not Pediatricians -- as in it's about medical care for children, not about what the doctors need and want.”

“No, you have found the ultimate secret of the GOP.
They truly just don't give a damn about women. And want to control our lives.
NO abortion -- have that baby.
But forget about maternity care -- just manage it.
And take care of that baby with no paid leave, no public option day care, no support of any kind.
These guys pick wives like trophies (Gingrich and his 3 or 4 wives, McCain and the lovely young Cyndee) and VP candidates based on looks (Sarah the babe).
Kyl's position is actually not inconsistent IF you are a Republican. They are consistently hatetul to and uncaring for women.
They opposed Title 9, they oppose equal pay, they voted that it's OK for women to be raped and companies to be allowed to cover it up, they attack Mary Cheney for having a baby because she's a lesbian . . . . . .
WAKE UP WORLD, the GOP by and large despise women.
So let's cram it down their throats.
Put Nancy Pelosi "IN HER PLACE" indeed.
She IS in HER PLACE -- running the House better than her predecessors.”

“But the current bills being considered do not even address health care reform. It's new health care, not reform. If they reformed our existing health care (torte for starters i.e. massive law suits), and tested out their health care on a couple of states to get rid of the wrinkles and make it very workable, then I'd sure take a look at it. But what is proposed right now is not reform at all. Why don't they just give insurance to the 30 million who don't have it? Why does everyone have to take it, which they do according to HR 3200.”

One of my favorites was that yes, you can keep your health care but for only one year; it's called a grace period, and then you must be moved into the government option. So even though the Dems are stating you can keep your doctor, etc., you can only keep it for one year according the HR3200. You really should read what the House of Representatives put together and hope that not one item in there passes.”

“WHY no comments?
Huffington Post, THIS should be your lead article.
The best way to reduce health care costs is to use less health care --- NOT by rationing, but by having people NEED less health care because they are HEALTHY, as this wise physician says.
However, I would add that in addition to people living healthy lifestyles, there also must be access to primary care, for two reasons.
1) A good primary care physician helps you STAY healthy, and
2) Sometimes even the healthiest -lifestyle people can get sick, develop a health condition or have an injury -- and then prompt and good primary care can make a big difference between regaining health or getting sicker.
SO it takes both -- personal commitment and a personal physician.
But with those two things in place, the need for expensive tests, treatments, surgeries and things to FIX sickness would decline, and so would costs.”
