“Amen. Payback is hell. Once again the dems don't think they will have to live by their own laws.. It is becoming a very exciting time to be a Republican as the presidential elections come closer and closer. And the funny thing is .. republicans will be back in the drivers seat. Dems shot themselves in the foot with Obamacare.”

“that theory can be applied to any crime. So why bother having crimes for children and adults... just have them adult. It does matter that they are children.. children haven't even been on earth long enough to know anything particularly those coming out of abusive homes. They are exactly the ones we should never use corporal punishment on. Our justice system has no business executing anyone... there are far too many innocent ppl in jail to use execution as a punishment.”

brownhazeleygirl on Nov 13, 2013 at 21:44:00

“I will admit that criminal justice in America is not perfect. With that said, often the reason juveniles are treated as adults are due to the crimes they commit. Often this is because of their home life, sometimes it is not, it is due to drugs, and the access our youth has in getting them on a daily basis.
Just today in our local paper two teenage boys were arrested for multiple felonies. They are honor roll students from good families but they got into drugs. They beat a man so bad and left him in the cold, stripping him of his clothes. The next victim, a young woman they robbed at gunpoint. The third, a business. They are sitting in the local jail and have been waived to adult court. No trouble before this and these crimes were a result of the need for money for drugs. This was not a result of an abusive home but of "peer pressure" as I call it to be liked by others at school that got them into drugs.
As far as the death penalty is concerned, there are many that deserve to be out to death for the crimes they have committed.”

“The elephant in the living room no one is mentioning....

A child was executed. A child. Whether he was guilty or innocent... a child was EXECUTED. Our criminal justice system where children are concerned is insane. It is barbaric... it is child abuse. We try children as adults... why would we do that... because of the crime? The crime does not make a child any more or less a child. Our justice system is broken and has been broken for decades. We have no business executing anyone since many times they execute the wrong person.... if we were to read this about another country we would want a human rights investigation...”

“Oh EVERYONE gets it, pardon my tone, no offense; but what you're not getting is it really doesn't matter that this 'child' was executed and as with any 'child,' he couldn't even comprehend the full gravity of the situation, and to these heartless posters, bottom line is all they know is this kid was Black,”

brownhazeleygirl on Nov 10, 2013 at 23:58:12

“Back then and even farther people were getting married and having children of their own at that age. I beg to differ that the crime does not make a child anymore or less a child. If they kill someone and realize they are doing that then they should be responsible.”

There is not one person who can speak authoritatively on the matter in this string of comments since there are 20-30,000 pages... the problem with democrats is they think they have a lock on wanting whats best for this country... you are wrong. Just to say someone has a problem with ppl getting insurance... nope... that's not it....I would like for everyone to have insurance... but this plan isn't good. As a matter of fact it really is a trainwreck. Hold your thoughts until you watch it roll out fully implemented ... instead of cheering for your team... you should be up in arms for what this is doing to jobs and what your president is doing to our debt... double food stamps since he took office... and trust me its not going to get better”

“The problem is with private insurance companies and ACA is designed to at least level the playing field for costs and available care. Inhofe is in the privileged class and would not have to wait no matter who made the decisions. The real solution is single payer and cutting out "managed care" that only manages the bottom line.”

“We are defined by how we treat the weakest among us... the list is endless and animals are on the list. Everyday I travel down a back road. Everyday I see dogs that have been dropped off to "fend for themselves". These animals starve to death... I see them.. I feed them.. For those of you out there who live in nice middle class neighborhoods... there is an entirely different world out of your sight. Animal cruelty is rampant. To those who would say "they are just animals" .. I would say - anything that has enough intelligence to show joy, fear, anger, love, anxiety, caution, protectiveness, excitement, curiosity, .. the list is endless....then they are NOT JUST animals. They are emotional entities. We hire then to protect us, to lead us, to work along side us, they are search and rescuers, bomb sniffers, they fight alongside our troops, they serve the handicapped, seeing eye dogs, medical alert dogs... and believe it or not they have an ability to smell illness. So next time you decide to turn your back on that "animal" .. try to remember what all it does for you... and your family and your friends.. be an advocate... fight animal cruelty, dog fighting, puppy mills and animal hoarders... you an make a difference.. carry dog food and water in your car......”

“I personally know 2 people who are careless and have had more than one abortion because they had "accidents"... no doubt im not the only person who knows someone. They are too easy to get... you just walk up and ask and bingo you get it... even if you are a minor and your parents are not aware... which should be a crime in itself. Your minor child can walk into an abortion clinic... unknown to you and receive surgery without your consent or advice... the entire abortion issue is riddled with monumental problems... but all "women" an say is "its my body I should be able to do what I want" ... which isn't even true... we have tons of laws on the books preventing people from doing things to themselves.”

invisbl on Jul 13, 2013 at 17:24:29

“I know that anecdotal evidence can sway you if you're the one who's telling the story, but it's not necessarily the whole story. You could just hang out with severely irresponsible--or uneducated--people who use abortion as birth control. I don't think there is evidence that that phenomenon is widespread. I disagree with you, I believe girls should have the right to seek an abortion without parental consent. The existence of abusive and/or incestuous families are enough to convince me. If you have raised your kids right, and provided them a supportive environment, they will talk to you if the need is there.”
