“She keeps bringing up her kids all the time to enhance her "resume" with the lunatic fringe of the republican party and position herself as the "family value" candidate (even though the facts contradict that). You can't have it both ways. You want people to leave your kids alone? Leave them alone!”

“Becasue we can't talk to 600,000 people to form an opinion about someone. It takes a lot of time. What we can do. is: Read articles like this one and listen to Palin.
1/ Listening to Palin should give us enough reason to make an assessement about her incompetence.
2/ Articles and reports are biased (be it MSNBC or FAUX News). The difference is when Sean Hannity lies about Palin's credentials (pumping her up) she wouldn't want to sue him. But if Shannyn Moore lies about her, she can sue her. So far she couldn't. It must be true!
Got it?”

“The one thing that struck the most on her resignation speech besides the "point guard" analogy (forgetting that a good point guard doesn't quit in the middle of the game to get a better contract in 3 years) is the following:
"I gathered my family (she never misses a chance to somehow throw her family into a speech to get the "family value" vote) and asked what do you think? I got four yes's and .... hell yeahhhhh!!!! Wow so nice .. Is this really how she operates? Her decisions (this one being maybe the toughest) are made by 14 and 7 years-old? What if 4 said No and one Hell Nooo?
If it'this is true. That's not good. If she just lied to falsly paint a picture of a family woman, that's not good either.. Could somebody press her on this detail”

None of those statements are true. How is it that the Obama campaign never sued her for defamamtion where she now wants to sure blogs for saying that's she's being investigated (which is true)? Does defamation only applies to statements that are true ? I'm confused”

“Let me get this straight. No one has endured negative press than Bill Clinton and he was the leader of the free world. He was so close to implement a historic peace deal between the Israelis and the Palestinians working day and night to get it done. This woman a Governor of a state with less population than Harlem could not manage to sign the checks at the end of the months (that's what she said she was doing as mayor of wassila) and at the same time read a newspaper that says that her daughter broke up with her boyfriend (too negative for poor Palin)!!!! “Right on.
The article focuses more on the sexual aspect of the relationship, it seems to me. Although that's a big component in any succesful relationship, it does not guarantee a lasting relationship if the intellectual and interests gap is wide.
I did date girls who I was physically attracted to, ignoring the fact that we might not have the same interests and definitely not the same thought process, but as the realtionship goes on I start feeling that void. And it's hard to fill
A difference of opinon is an asset and it enriches the relationship. The ABSENCE of an opinion (for an intelligent person) is a liability and will ultimately kill the relationship”

No Attacks Since When?

“In December 2001 when he cornered OBL in the mountains of Tora Bora he should have not started planning to attack Iraq and pull resources from Afghanistan. That was the time to take out OBL and all the leadership of al-qaeda. He did not do it. He was obsessed with Saddam. and just for the record, in October 2001 Dick Cheney said we will have to adress Iraq to effectively fight terrorism. Iraq has never been involved in terrorism even though we kept violating their airspace in a daily basis since 1991 and imposed sanctions that claimed the lives of over a million and a half Iraqis.
Bush was only obsessed with saddam being in power and surving 2 US administration including his father's that started it all. in their mind since they set foot in the white house, 9/11 for them was only the best excuse to topple saddam. His obesession may very much be in line with What Would Jesus Do.. or maybe he went to the wrong church after he quit drinking
Does that answer your question?”

“One more thing. I don't think we should focus on the DC sniper. I think that's easy to dismiss. Bush supporters would put it in the category of "serial killers" not international terrorism. But what I would challenge Noonan on is the follwoing: What policies did he adopt that kept us safe? Attacking Iraq. The facts contradict that. It shifted resources from Afghanistan to widen the battlefield and increase Al-Qaeda's influence in the region and worldwide (Spain, London and Bali etc..).
We have not been attacked by Al-Qaeda in american soil not because of Bush's genius, but because of the work of the CIA and FBI who finally got together and made it hard to Al-Qaeda to send operatives to the US. If Al-Qaeda is not completely destroyed (as Bush was given a chance to do just that after 911 but chose to go after his own political agenda and in the process strengten al-qaeda), it'll only be a matter of time until they strike again. They are very patient. Remember the islamists have been trying to dominate the world and implement sharia law everywhere for centuries. They're very patient. If we don't work smart against them and remove their recruitng tools (in parallel with killing their leaders), they will win.”

“In the article Bob Cesca says:"they report that between September 11, 2001 and March 2008, there have been 9,675 terrorist attacks in Iraq, accumulating 46,271 injuries and 26,161 deaths"
i think he got the dates wrong. Saddam was in power during that period. Other than the attack against him in 1982 and against his son in 1996 (by loyalist to the Iranian regime), there was not one single terrorist attack in Iraq in his 24 years as President.
I agree with most of what you said in the article Bob, but you would weaken your argument when you use non realible sources in providing supporting FACTS. FACTS are FACTS”
